Itinerary
Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city's oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
Takeshita Street / Omotesando: Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan's leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku's cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan's leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo's symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower's majestic appearance.
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

We had such a lovely day with our guide Hiroyuki Mise. He came well prepared with a great energy and was incredibly engaging in the way he spoke and the activities he had prepared for us, such as praying at Meiji shrine, writing wishes, recommending photo spots and the small quizzes he had prepared. The tour gave us a great overview of all the things Tokyo had to offer and the Hiro adjusted the times and sight to our wishes, which gave everything a nice flow and time just passed effortlessly despite all the new information and all the many steps. Furthermore Hiro was incredibly open, pleasant to talk to, spoke fluently and gave great recommendations for places to see and food to eat. As for the spots: Meiji was breathtakingly beautiful, Takeshita was awesome in so many different and fun ways, Tsukiji was mouthwateringly delicious, Tokyo tower was an incredible sight and Senso-ji was a flourish of energy mixed with the sanctity of a beautiful shrine.
Sam went above and beyond to make sure my kids and I had an amazing experience while we were in Tokyo. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the area, super friendly, and made the whole day feel easy and fun. The biggest surprise? My kids went out of their way to thank Sam on their own because they genuinely appreciated the experience—which is basically a miracle if you’re a parent! I can’t recommend Sam enough if you’re looking for someone who can show you around the city and help you experience Tokyo beyond the typical tourist spots.
Our tour guide mark was super awesome and nice
Kaz was great. Saw all the sites on the preplanned tour along with some fun food stops. She was uber helpful all day and always willing to share more information. Overall it was a great 7 hours of seeing Tokyo.
Great tour with Mark san! Was able to meet at the train station, communicated on whatsapp and had such a wonderful time touring Tokyo. I would recommend and hire them again for our tour.
Great experience exploring Tokyo on our first day! Taku was very knowledgeable!
Mr. Sumita was an outstanding tour guide—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Tokyo, its history, and its subway system. Once he was assigned as our guide, he promptly reached out to coordinate our meeting point and even suggested an itinerary tailored to our interests. Since it was our first time visiting Tokyo, he graciously met us at Haneda Airport, which made our arrival completely stress-free. His guidance through the subway system gave us the confidence to navigate the city without worrying about getting lost. Throughout the tour, Mr. Sumita was courteous, patient, and attentive. We truly appreciated his expertise and hospitality, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional guide in Tokyo.
The guide was nice but made an off handed comment about us possibly needing to take a taxi due to our size. The temple tour was interesting but he wasn’t very good at explaining he was very hard to understand. I thought this tour was a riding tour but it was all walking and us paying for transportation after paying close to $300. I was disappointed. My 2 sons could have done the same tour with their cellphones guiding us for free. We ended the tour 2 hours early. I wish I hadn’t booked this one and used the money for other activities which have all been way cheaper than this
Haruki was amazing and we had such a great time. He’s very knowledgeable and really showed us around all over the place. I think the highlight for my 10 year-old son was the Meji shrine rise for my daughter. It was the Takeshita street. He was very kind and even paid for various bits of our Tour when he really didn’t have to very grateful to him.
We booked this private tour as a family of six and were fortunate to have two incredible guides, Osamu-san and Tatsu-san. They were absolutely wonderful—kind, patient, considerate of the kids, easy to talk to, and genuinely warm people. It was a pleasure spending the day with them. Although the tour was scheduled for 7 hours, we ended up spending over 9 hours together because we were having such a great time. The day flew by! They didn’t just take us from place to place—they brought each location to life. They explained the history behind every palace, temple, and shrine we visited, why each site is important, and how it has shaped Japanese culture and traditions. We even had the chance to witness a traditional wedding ceremony and newborn baby celebrations, making the experience feel even more special and authentic. They also recommended fantastic local food and shared so many interesting cultural insights that we never would have learned on our own. If this is your first trip to Japan, I can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s the perfect way to understand the country’s history, customs, and culture while seeing some incredible places. Even if you’ve visited Japan before and just want a deeper appreciation or a refresher, this tour is absolutely worth it. Thank you, Osamu-san and Tatsu-san, for making our first visit to Japan such a memorable experience. We will never forget your kindness and hospitality! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
