Was a great tour. Very knowledgeable and approachable.
We had an outstanding tour of the Tokyo national museum. Our guide, Nobby, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend this tour on your visit to Tokyo!
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. From the start, it was clear how knowledgeable Nobby was - not just reciting facts, but really understanding the history and culture behind everything we saw, and always ready to answer whatever we threw at him. Conversations flowed naturally the whole time and he had a great way of drawing us in, making the walks between one hall and another very interesting. On top of that, Nobby’s energy and attitude made the experience genuinely fun and clearly passionate about sharing Japan’s history with visitors. Highly recommend if you want a tour that feels personal rather than scripted.
Shinobu was an excellent guide and really knew his stuff. Highly recommend this tour.
Yukiko is a wonderful guide; she immersed us in the world of arts, particularly during the Edo period. In 2 hours, she managed to give us a comprehensive view of the era while sharing specific anecdotes that enrich the history. We recommend!!
Superb experience. In just over 2 hours, we had a very good overall overview of the Edo period. Great welcome from Yakiko.
Nobby is an excellent host and guide. He adapted the tour to emphasize the objects we most wanted to see, and to accommodate the tired feet of our youngest family members. He is well informed and loves this museum's collection. Would happily explore other museums with him.
Our guide Nobby gave us an excellent private tour. Both his knowledge and passion for the subject matter is apparent. He is well-organized, communicating in advance to confirm meeting time and place, which was very helpful. Friendly and professional.
We met our tour guide right on time outside of the museum. He warmly greeted us and led us inside to begin the interesting, fascinating tour. He started at a timeline of Japanese history, giving us details about each era. As he guided us through the museum, he pointed out things of note and discussed them with us in his excellent English. We learned so much on this tour, and we really liked our tour guide, too. He was older, like us, and we learned that he used to work in banking/finance. I’m retired and my partner plans to retire soon. We appreciated our guide’s friendliness and knowledge. I’m so sorry that I don’t remember his name, but I highly recommend him. We were the only two people on this tour, which was nice for us because we could ask as many questions as we wanted and move at our own pace. I highly recommend this wonderful tour! Be sure to visit the gardens behind the museum. They are stunning.
Very informative and interesting. I recommend this activity for anyone visiting Tokyo. Beautiful museum and grounds.
