Itinerary

50 min

At Hakone Shrine, visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the “Peace Torii” floating on Lake Ashi, pray for good fortune and success, and visit Kuzuryu Shrine, known for bringing love and good relationships. The cedar-lined approach creates a mystical atmosphere, making a simple walk feel purifying. After visiting, you can relax at a nearby café or take a cruise on Lake Ashi. Hakone Shrine offers a perfect blend of nature, history, and spiritual serenity in one place.

80 min

After the cruise, enjoy lunch at Moto-Hakone Port, a scenic spot along the lakeshore. This area offers a wide variety of restaurants — from traditional Japanese cuisine to Western-style dishes and cozy cafés — and your guide will recommend the best local favorites. A meal enjoyed with a view of Mt. Fuji is truly unforgettable. Local specialties such as fried smelt fish (wakazagi), Hakone soba noodles, and seasonal Japanese set meals are especially popular. Relax and savor a peaceful moment that will satisfy both your heart and your appetite.

Admission included60 min

Next, enjoy a relaxing cruise on a sightseeing ship — not just any boat, but a charming pirate ship designed like something out of a fairytale. As you glide across the lake, the crystal-clear blue water, lush green mountains, and the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji unfold before you like a living painting. One of the highlights of this cruise is the breathtaking scenery that changes with each season. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the shore; in summer, the landscape is filled with vibrant greenery; autumn brings brilliant red and gold leaves; and in winter, the lake reflects the serene beauty of snow-covered peaks.

50 min

The first destination is Owakudani, a volcanic valley still active today. The smell of sulfur fills the air, and white steam rises from the rugged ground — it feels like witnessing the very heartbeat of the Earth. Surrounded by rocky terrain and swirling smoke, the landscape looks almost otherworldly, as if you’ve stepped onto Mars. Don’t miss the area’s famous black eggs, a local specialty said to add seven years to your life. Boiled in the natural geothermal heat, they’re both delicious and symbolic of good fortune. You can also take an optional ropeway ride for a thrilling aerial view directly above the steaming volcanic valley.

30 min

Fuji Shibasari Peace Park is a hidden gem known mostly to locals. From its quiet hilltop location, you can enjoy one of the clearest and most beautiful views of Mt. Fuji without the crowds. The pure white stupa and the iconic mountain together create a peaceful, picture-perfect scene, changing with the seasons — cherry blossoms in spring, deep greenery in summer, colorful leaves in autumn, and crisp views in winter. If you want a stunning Mt. Fuji photo spot that most tourists never find, this is the place.

A must-do day trip of Hakone to see Japan’s countryside and Mt. Fuji! Worth every penny.

Our day trip with Ayanka was amazing! She is such a bubbly, warm and helpful guide. She shared a lot of information about the sites we visited and took pictures of my group willingly. This Hakone trip was really worth every penny as you got to see so much in just one day. We got a glimpse of Mt. Fuji, which was cool and got the chance to eat the black ice cream. The cable car ride to the top of the volcanic mountain was also magnificent.

Wonderful Day Trip

We had an amazing day trip to Hakone with our two children, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Everything was very well organized, so we could simply relax and enjoy the experience. Our guide, Ayaka-san, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable throughout the day. We got to see so many beautiful places and learned a lot along the way. It was a fantastic and enjoyable day from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan, especially families looking for a memorable day trip. Thank you, Ayaka-san, for making our visit to Hakone so special!

Best Tour Guide

Miss Ayaka is one of the best guide we have of the many day trips that we took in Japan. She was jovial and friendly and provided many interesting stories along the way. She seems to have boundless energy and was still as energetic at the end as in the morning.

A day to remember for all the right reasons :)

It was a bucket list day in the middle of my Japan vacation. Joining a small group of other tourists and led by a friendly, knowledgeable and engaging host, all transported in a comfortable bus, we all had a fantastic time. So happy with all the photos - especially those of Mount Fuji - and memories, which will last a lifetime!

Nice scenery/great guide

Ayaka was a wonderful guide. So kind with great personality. Very knowledgeable as well. Tour was on a beautiful bus with just about 17 people. Seeing mt Fuji was exciting. Each stop, guide allowed for time to stroll. No long stops that drag on. She was very mindful of mentioning bathroom stops on bus and bathrooms when we arrived at locations. She also made times of arrival very clear and we never had to wonder. Great day. Pretty scenery. Great guide.

A day at peace at Mt. Fuji, Owakudani Hot Springs and Hakone Shrines

Today we visited Mt Fuji Peace Park, the Owakudani hot springs and Hakone Shrines. It was such a wonderful tour filled with inspiring views with a very informative tour. Ayaka, was our guide and she was fun, educated about all the tour sites and very interactive with all the patrons, young and old. She was what made the tour truly great.
