This tour far exceeded our expectations. It has left us with many insights into both the historical development of the third reich in Munich and the complex social history created for Munich and Bavarian residents. Our tour guide Sarah had an extremely impressive knowledge and challenged us to think beyond the everyday questions about fascism. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who visits Munich.
Thank you, Kate for the great feedback. It’s great to hear that the tour went beyond your expectations as well! Sarah is a great guide and I am happy to have her part of my small team in Munich. All the best and thank you for supporting a small, local tour operator.
Go ahead and book this tour. We learnt so much from Jax who is incredibly knowledgable and passionate. With a small group he was able to answer questions and bring history alive with details.
Thank you for the great feedback on my tour. This is exactly why I do it as a small group. It’s more enjoyable for all of us and I can answer all the questions you have. Thanks again for giving us a chance as a local tour company!
I have just spent over 2 hours 30 minutes on the above tour. The leader was Jax, who has thoroughly researched all the facts and all the locations in Munich, that tells the beginning of this period of history. I have nothing but praise for Jax and I urge anyone interested to learn more , to join one of his tours
Thank you, Clive. I enjoyed the tour as much as you did. Even with just two people, I will always make sure to give a great tour. Thank you for taking time to write a review. All the best and see you next time!
We did the Third Reich Small Group Tour with Heart of Munich Tours last weekend, and it was, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire trip. Our guide, Jax, was exceptional. Rather than simply reciting facts, he brought Munich's history to life with genuine passion and real storytelling ability, weaving together events, context, and personal anecdotes that kept our whole family engaged from start to finish. This is heavy and important history, and Jax handled it with the depth and respect it deserves, while still keeping us captivated throughout. He was also considerate of the group's comfort, building in water and bathroom breaks along the way. We'd highly recommend this tour, and Jax in particular, to anyone visiting Munich who wants to truly understand the city's past.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review of my tour. I honestly appreciate a lot! What you have described is exactly the style I go for. I like to teach through storytelling but make sure that everything makes sense chronologically. Thank you for supporting a small independent tour company!
Excellent tour. Excellent guide. Tour guide full of knowledge and education. Even in those few hours so much history and context covered. I will do private tours with them. Highly recommend
Very kind of your to say so, James. Glad you had a great learning experience with Sarah and will be booking with us again in the future .
Sarah was our guide for both this and the free Munich walking tour on first and second of June. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. She had a great depth of knowledge and the group talked openly about many aspects. We would highly recommend Heart of Munich Tours.

We really appreciate it and we'll always try to make sure our guests receive a worthwhile experience, regardless of the theme of the tour. Thank you for mentioning Sarah personally. I will pass your nice comments to her.
Extremely interesting tour with Sarah who was knowledgable and shared very interesting information. Her particular insights and provision of pictures showing the places we visited as they were in the 1930s really brought things to life. She was very respectful of the group and fielded all questions really well and allowed people to add their views and/or knowledge.
Sounds like Sarah gave you an insightful but respectful learning experience, which is important when it comes to teaching this topic. Thank you for choosing to support local.
Our tour was with Sarah who was knowledgeable and gave us some informative insight into the rise of the third Reich. She was very accommodating of my partner who was on crutches which was greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the great feedback of Sarah's tour. Really happy to hear how much you enjoyed it that she was particularly accommodating for your partner. Thank you for supporting a small local tour operator!
Wonderful walking tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide with the ability to deliver information in an informative and sometimes humorous manner. Time to use facilities during the walk, grab a walking beer and food during the tour. Would really recommend Patrick.
