Kensuke our guide was very knowledgeable and his English was very good. He gave us plenty of information about the monuments in the Peace Park and had good timing as to how long to take in the museum so we had enough time to get over to Miyajima Island. He organized a great place for lunch too. Overall a great tour without feeling rushed!! Highly recommend!

This tour gives you an overview of what hapen in hiroshima during the war, and the amoint of distruction the Nuk-bom caused. It also takes you to a land where you will see beautiful dears "similar to Nara" and a unique shrine. Off-course these type of trips depends on yoir tour guide in explaining and detailing what happens. Our Tourguide "Kensuke Ohguchi" was one of the best tour guide i had, well knowledged, super friendly and kind, and took rally good care of us. And one of the things I mostly enjoyed about this trip is the culture exchange I had with Kensuke between my country and japan I highly recommend this trip

Tour locations very good - just travel process very poor and tour very expensive for the experience. Boat to Miyajima was public ferry that was 2 trains away from Museum. Smaller cruise boats depart from just near museum - would have been a much better experience. It would have let us have a longer time at the museum and still got to Miyajima quicker.
Dear Robert, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the day as much as the vast majority of our guests do. Please allow me to address each of your points: - The smaller cruise boats are not nearly as reliable, as they don't operate when the tide is low or the weather is poor. They also tend to sell out well in advance (making it difficult for us to accommodate last-minute reservations), can cause seasickness, run only once an hour at best (compared to the ferries we use, which run every five minutes), and cost over 10 times more. These factors would ultimately result in a lesser tour at a higher price. - You rode one "train" (actually a streetcar) to the long-distance train that takes you to the Miyajima ferry. - The vast majority of guests find the time we spend at the museum to be more than adequate. In fact, many ask us to move that part along due to the sensitive and somber nature of the topic. As for the price, we offer top-notch guides in a small group setting (8 guests or fewer), delivering exactly what is described in the tour promotional materials. We hope you still enjoyed your time in Hiroshima and your overall experience in Japan.
Ken is the best tour guide! A local who speaks English conversationally. Very knowledgeable and hard working. The first part is a heartfelt and deeply touching tour of Hiroshima's A-bomb sites. The second part, Miyajima island, is an unforgettable experience with nature, history, fortune telling, and excellent food. Ken goes above and beyond for you. Definitely recommend.
We’re so glad to hear you had an incredible tour with Ken! His hard work and passion for sharing Hiroshima’s history and the wonders of Miyajima are what make the experience unique. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to see you again on another tour soon!
