Join us on this relaxing yet exciting natural experience. In this wonderful adventure we will visit the Térraba-Sierpe National Wetland. This area includes the largest and most important mangrove forests in Costa Rica. The wetland is immensely rich in flora and vegetation. It also has a wide variety of fauna, serving as a refuge site for many species of wildlife, like numerous especies of birds and mokeys, reptiles, mollusks, fish, among other species. All this makes this tour the perfect opportunity to appreciate life expressed in every corner you look at. You can choose beetwen Boat or Kayak with no adittional cost.

This tour Start at a Terraba rivermouth. 15 minutes away from Uvita. Our naturalist guide will lead you through the Terraba-Sierpe mangroves on this mezmerizing, relaxing adventure. Tour starts at around 7:00am (exact departure time depend on the tide). PM schedule available depending on the tide.

Our tour was incredible! At first it was a little confusing on where to meet, but once we found our tour guide it was awesome! We saw all the wildlife we'd hoped to see, and our guide, Angelo, was so passionate and knowledgeable about the mangrove. He made all the information come alive, and answered all of our questions. Our children, 6 and 8, loved it!
My husband and I had an excellent boat ride in the Mangrove swamps with Captain and Guide Adrian. We saw Squirrel and White Face monkeys, many birds both on the shore and in the trees and we saw a pair of owls and their fledglings. Adrian also knows a lot about the 4 kinds of mangrove trees, the lenticels growing on their roots, and other plants. An excellent tour.

Great tour, we took my teenagers and my dad and everyone enjoyed it. we saw three types of monkeys and many many birds! Elizabeth was our guide and she was very knowledgeable.

Our kayaking tour through the mangroves was the highlight of our Costa Rica adventure vacation. My wife, my two boys (14,17), me and two other participants spent three hours on the water around the Terraba Sierpe wetlands. Our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, very kind, and clearly enjoyed sharing the experience with everyone on the tour. We saw so many amazing animals including dozens of birds, lizards, iguanas, crocodiles, snakes, and insects. Afterwards we enjoyed fresh coconut water, as in straight from the tree, provided by one of the locals. It was a fantastic adventure I’d recommend to everyone.

Awesome experience with very knowledgeable guides (Fabiola and Brainer). We learnt about the species, the ecosystem but also got to know a bit better the local indigenous culture. Fascinating. We felt very privileged to be there and to discover this more hidden side of Costa Rica.
