After the glitch of the original guide not showing up, the owner of the company gave me a personal tour of various vendors or restaurant foods, most of which were featured in the Netflix series about good food in South America .He spoke excellent English since he had lived in the US for 9 years. I have found this ability unusual in Bolivia. These foods and drinks were all things that everyday Bolivians eat. Along the way, he gave information about cultural points, for example, walking through the cemetery and explaining burial customs. He even agreed to go with me to find a high quality weaving at one of the museums. This was much more than a food tour...it was a cultural tour of LA Paz and its people
Part food tour, part history tour and part cultural … an amazing day with an excellent host and guide - Edson. He was kind enough to adjust for some particular requests and took care to ensure we only ate the best. It was like spending the day with a new friend. I highly recommend Edson’s tour services.
Edson took me to amazing places, made me taste food I've never tried before and we had very good conversations
This was an amazing way to see La Paz and El Alto. The tour really makes use of the cities great cable care system network to cover a lot of ground. Don’t eat before you go because you will have a lot of amazing food and drink on this tour and be fully immersed in Bolivian culture and history.
Our tour guide (Andrea) and driver (Luis) were absolutely amazing. We only had a day to tour La Paz,.and they made the experience memorable. We certainly won't forget the kindness and hospitality of the Bolivian people. Also, the tour operator was very thorough and communicative from booking, to before the tour and then to follow up afterwards. Highly recommend.
