The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in La Paz in comfortable private transportation, accompanied by your expert guide, as you travel toward the ancient town of Tiwanaku, located near the shores of the legendary Lake Titicaca. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful Andean landscapes of the Altiplano, where traditional villages, native wildlife, llamas, and vast mountain scenery create an authentic Bolivian experience. After approximately two hours, arrival at Tiwanaku — one of the oldest and most mysterious civilizations in the Americas — where you will explore its fascinating archaeological museum and ancient ceremonial ruins.

Puma Punku, also called "Pumapunku" or "Puma Puncu", is part of the Tiahuanaco monumental complex near the town of Tiwanaku in the Department of La Paz, Bolivia. It is located southwest of the Kalasasaya Temple. In Aymara, its name means, "La Puerta del Puma"

The Temple of Kalasasaya or Temple of the Standing Stones, is located in Tiwanaku, Bolivia, where the changes of seasons and the 365-day solar year were accurately verified. At the equinoxes the Sun rises through the center of the main entrance door, which is accessed by a magnificent staircase.

Local guides didn't show up, no communication. We emailed the local company prior to the day of the tour and the day of (pick up was to be 9 am-- we waited until 10, and no response). So we suddenly had a free day in La Paz and no way to schedule a similar tour.

After reviewing the situation, we identified an internal coordination failure related to our reservation process, which unfortunately resulted in the local team not receiving the service information as they should have. As soon as we became aware of the situation, we contacted you directly, offered our sincere apologies, explained what had occurred, and issued a full 100% refund of the amount paid. We also understand that a refund cannot give you back the day you had reserved for this experience, and for that we are particularly sorry. This was an exceptional incident and does not reflect the standard of service we expect at JOKER EXPEDITION. We have reviewed the circumstances internally and taken steps to prevent a similar coordination failure from happening again. I traveled with My Guide - Richard and My Driver - Johnny - They are a terrific team !!!!!! Puma Punka and Tiwanku were both "Bucket List" Items for me to see in my Lifetime - It was a fantastic and outstanding day and experience - Both Richard and Johnny make the adventure a very rewarding experience !!!!!! It was a thrill to travel with both of them and learn so much about both of these incredible sites - They made me feel so welcome and I thank them both !!!!!

Great tour, reliable company - highly recommended to use Jokers if you are in Bolivia. They took us from La Paz / El Alto to Copacabana via all the places we wanted to stop.
Johnny and David made our experience so memorable. I didn't have many expectations, but they made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. David was great about explaining things without being too overwhelming. His English skills were excellent, as well. Lastly, the lunch we had was by far our best meal yet on this trip.
