Cape Town's best and most authentic wine tasting experience! The wine tractor is a hop-on hop-off tour of some of the finest wine farms & hidden gems in Stellenbosch's Golden Triangle. Explore the vineyards & working wine farms, visiting grand estates, boutique producers, and historic homesteads. Enjoy a unique perspective that only a tractor can give you as you travel through the back-roads and vineyards while our friendly guides teach you about the area and Stellenbosch's history of wine-making. At every farm you will get 65 minutes to relax and enjoy the wines or grab a bite to eat at a relaxed un-rushed pace before setting off the the next farm. Most farms are child-friendly, offering kids' areas and activities. Only 35 min from Cape Town, 20 from the airport. Please note that cellar tours are not included in the tour. It is a wine tasting tour sampling the different wines produced on each different farm. Cellar tours can be arranged directly with some farms at a extra cost

- Guests need to arrive 30 min in advance at Root44 Market before scheduled departure time to sign in and there is a welcome taster on arrival
- Tastings are not included in the standard ticket. Tastings typically cost R100 to R150 each at the various estates.
- Shuttle from Cape Town can be arranged for an additional cost of R400 per person, the shuttle needs to be booked directly with our ticket office 48 hours in advance. PLS note space on the shuttle is limited
- Shuttle is only available for the 10:30 tractor departure

The tractor took us to very scenic and diverse lot of wine farms on the slopes of the Helderberg. Nicole, our guide, was not only informative, but set a light hearted tone and soon all aboard got to know each other and we all had a lovely day.
Its a must to spend a day in Stellenbosch, wine country wine lives up to the hype. Rolling vineyards, Table mountain views in the distance, and the most welcoming estates.

We had such an enjoyable day with the Stellenbosch wine tractor tour! Another highlight of our holiday in South Africa. We had a toddler in tow and our guide was excellent at creating a personalised tour for us with recommendations for the more family friendly wineries. We all had so much fun, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore multiple wineries in Stellenbosch.
Afternoon trip 12 -6pm. Visited four different wine estates. All the wines were excellent. One hour at each stop before the tractor comes round to pick you up. Fantastic way to spend the afternoon!
Great day out wine tasting at different wine estates. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and learnt about growing grapes and wine production. Lunch at one of the estates was also pleasant. All in all, an experience worth going through espyif you are into wine!!
There are a number of tractor routes so it can be a bit confusing in terms of navigating your route, and the starting point at the market is not glaringly obvious. But it’s a great day out with various tastings representing good value for money. Big and small vineyards included and some with food. Beautiful scenery wherever you go.
