The experience is great....

The experience is great. The travel to and from is long. By the time you get back from the tour a lot of restaurants are closed. But the park is beautiful.

Operator response

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful park and had a great experience overall. We also appreciate your practical comments about the long travel time and the challenge of finding open restaurants upon return. That's very helpful feedback, and we will certainly look into providing better meal suggestions or scheduling tips for future guests. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon.

Average at best but read fully to understand.

Before I get to the actual review - its important to know that Olympia National Park is very big, only next to yellowstone and well over 90 miles from Seattle. You will spend most of your time traveling, and that is not the tour's fault. Don't under estimate this for booking. Our tour was average at best. The weather was dull and drizzling most of the time. That didn't make the ferry or hurricane ridge very attractive. The driver was good and kind, but we were seated behind and could not hear him most of time. We also could not understand what he was saying when we did hear him (heavy accent). That led to not understanding instructions well enough and we almost missed the bus a couple of times. There was zero team chemistry on our group and no co passenger seemed to care much for others. So overall, a very average experience. Some of this is not the tour's fault - but they can surely fix things like the guide makng sure everyone hears and understands instructions, and also perhaps make better decisions on where to take the group on a rainy day (definitely not hurricane ridge!)

Operator response

Thank you for your honest and thoughtful review. We truly appreciate that you took the time to share both the strengths and weaknesses of your experience. You made a very important point – Olympic National Park is vast, and travel time from Seattle is significant. We are grateful that you highlighted this for future travelers, as setting realistic expectations is key to a satisfying visit. That said, we are genuinely sorry that your tour experience fell short in several areas. Audio and communication: It’s unacceptable that you couldn’t hear or understand the guide clearly. We will review our vehicle’s audio system and remind our guides to regularly check that all guests can hear and comprehend instructions – especially given the diversity of accents and hearing abilities. Weather adaptability: You are absolutely right. On rainy or overcast days, visiting Hurricane Ridge may not be ideal. We will work with our guides to develop better alternative routes or indoor/ sheltered stops when weather conditions are poor. Group dynamics: While team chemistry is difficult to guarantee, we agree that a proactive guide can help foster a friendlier and more inclusive atmosphere. We will address this in our future training. Please know that your feedback has been shared with our operations and training teams. We are committed to making practical improvements – especially in communication and weather-based itinerary adjustments. Thank you again for your fair critique.

Olympic National park

This tour was great! Got to experience a ride on a ferry in addition to seeing the amazing views of the park. We got to stop and take pictures at Lake Crescent and hike to the beautiful Marymere falls. The tour guide was very nice and polite . I highly recommend this tour. However, be aware it is an all day tour. Long but worth it.

Okay Trip

Great experience but it is far from downtown Seattle. I feel like it is a lot of driving just to see the base of the mountains.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you had a great experience, and we also understand your concern about the long drive from downtown Seattle. The mountain area is located outside the city, which does require extra travel time. We appreciate your honest input and will work on setting clearer expectations for future guests. We hope to serve you again!

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our Olympic National Park tour with Ryan Si. He was extremely knowledgeable about literally everything along the way, during the time in the park, and on the way back and this experience was worth every penny for our time in seattle . He was also just a great and humble guy overall. He talked on the microphone in the van for the majority of the time and was easy to hear and made the experience fun and easy as we sat back and he explained everything and led us on the hike and various viewing areas. He showed us so many points of interest from the van. The experience was captivating for the whole time. He not only told us about the park but about Seattle also. From the time we were picked up until the time we were dropped back at our hotel (0730 to 1800), it was a great experience. He was very patient with everyone, made sure we had bathroom breaks, and gave us snacks and drinks. The sandwich was literally one of the best sandwiches I have had. We couldn't go to one area due to weather and he easily improvised. We really enjoyed going to Paulsbo on the way back for an hour of shopping. We loved the scenery in the park and enjoyed going to the lodge for lunch and enjoyed going on the ferry , lake crescent, and the waterfall hike. His knowledge made for an enjoyable and relaxing day that we won't forget! He was an AMAZING guide!!!

Totally worth it!!

We had a wonderful experience as a family of 4. While Hurricane Ridge got unexpectedly closed due to snowy conditions, all other stops, especially Lake Crescent and the Rain Forest made it worth it. Special thanks to Michael, our tour guide who went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable, very patient and really good tour guide. We enjoyed the entire day.
