Bea the tour guide was the best! She made my daughter feel at home was friendly, fun and very personable. Beas knowledge of history, culture and socioeconomic actions made it so interesting. There were alot of little spots she knew that was away from crowds and beautiful. It was an amazing time!
We had an amazing day exploring Peneda-Gerês National Park with Daniel Santos, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Daniel was incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable, making everyone feel welcome from the very beginning. The hike through the beautiful landscapes was stunning, and swimming in the waterfalls was an unforgettable experience. The traditional lunch was also delicious and added a perfect local touch to the day. The whole tour was very well organized, relaxed and enjoyable. If you're looking for an authentic way to discover Gerês, we highly recommend this tour, and if you have the chance to go with Daniel Santos, you're in great hands! Thank you, Daniel, for such a wonderful experience. We would definitely do it again!
The park was stunning—We had a wonderful time! Our guide Pedro was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional!
Daniel was amazing great guy! We made the mistake of being unprepared for this day but he made sure to motivate us on the hike to the beautiful lagoons. He picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel which was nice and easy. He was punctual and got us there safely. During our lunch he explained about the foods we were eating and made sure everyone was doing okay. he has lots of energy and a great guy overall!
I had already done Paiva 2 years ago and hj me and my family had a delicious experience in Gerês. The landscapes are stunning, the rejuvenating waterfalls, the delicious picnic and the stories and animation of guide Teresa are amazing. A must-see tour for those who love nature and love to know the local culture.
Great excursion! One sees impressive nature and can also swim under waterfalls. Simply a fantastic adventure. One also receives a lot of information about the history of the park, the nature, and the surroundings. Thank you, Teresa. 🤗
Francisco was an amazing guide! He made the tour so enjoyable felt like instant friends. We had so much fun and explored a beautiful part of Portugal! Pretty fabulous way to spend my birthday!
My guide was Bea. She was awesome, knowledgeable and a great guide. If you have Bea as your guide, you know it’s going to be a good time! The trip was well worth the fee and Bea personalized the experience depending on the group. The trip was from 08 to 18H, we went early in the morning to beat the crowds. Best for couples, solo travelers and families as there is hiking through gravel and hills.
This is an excellent day out from Porto to experience the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Lago was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the area, the history, culture and nature. We were picked up at 7.50am from porto in a modern comfortable van, and travelled around 1hr 30mins to our first stop. We started with a coffee/drink and toilet stop at a small village, which we then walk through to start the hike own to the waterfall and swim spot. This is around 2.5km and a reasonable gradient. Once finished at this spot we walked back up the hill to the village for a picnic lunch which was excellent and very fresh. One of our group was vegetarian and they were well catered for. In the afternoon we drove further through the national park, stopping at another waterfall and swim spot for an hour before continuing onto amazing viewpoints before returning back to porto for around 6.30pm. This tour states that it is 9-10hours long but there is no set time limit at the view points or swim spots, so it could easily be 12 hours if the group takes longer at these points. This is the best tour we have taken on our Porto trip and would 100% recommend to all.
Teresa was our guide and she’s amazing. Knows a lot about the region and really adapts to our needs. Had a wonderful time and lots of laughs. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see beautiful nature and have a great time :)
