Itinerary
After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production. Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"
After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch. It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

Pick-ups at the predetermined locations are only for customers that bought that option ("Group Tour - Up to 8 people" or "Private Tour").

- This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
- Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
- For lunch we provide meat, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
- Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
- We do not recommend that you book or schedule different activities at the end of the tour. Although the tour may last 9/10 hours, the duration may vary depending on traffic conditions and other factors.
- Please be aware that the activities which we visit, such as vineyards, restaurants, etc, are subject to 3rd party availability and other groups/participants may be with the your group during the experience.
- Schedules and Itinerary may change without prior notice.
- The pick-up service is only available for the ones that choose the option "Small Group Tour - Up to 8 people" and "Private Tour".
- Please make sure that you have breakfast. Keep in mind that we probably will only stop at the first activity. We may not have time to make a pit stop before arriving to the first vineyard.
- On the private option infants or childrens must be booked as an individual adult/place. Prices shown are per group/vehicle.

Very positive experience! Our tour guide was Vitor Alves and he’s was very good! Would highly recommend trying to get Vitor if you can. Lots of history knowledge which made the trip fun. Was very thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable, and made sure to stop a good spots for pictures. The tour overall was very good and the Douro valley beautiful. The total size of the group was perfect, not too big not too small, and the tour length was good because we were back in Porto by around 5:30pm. Overall worth every penny and would highly recommend this wine tour and Vitor.
We had a GREAT TIME. You must do this tour. Our guide was amazing and funny and this was our favorite tour of the trip. The lunch was so good with salad and soup and dessert and espresso plus all the wine.
Pedro was the most fun and knowledgeable guide for the Douro Valley. If you book any trip, staying in Porto with your spouse, this is the one! So much fun! Highly recommend as a New Yorker! From Brian & Shannon
Teago (James Bond) was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable, humorous, helpful and patient with this old lady. Shayla (sp) was amazing as she navigated the roads. Played music that we enjoyed. Patrice at the 1st vineyard was very knowledgeable and also very patient and took care of this old lady. Rita at the 2nd vineyard was also very knowledgeable and entertained my family. Food and wine was delicious. The boat cruise was very comfortable and really enjoyed it. Portugal is awesome and the people are very helpful and friendly and do whatever they can to make sure you have a fun adventure.

Sara and Shaila were fantastic tour guides! Shaila navigated thru the winding roads with ease, making the trip smooth and painless. Sara was both fun and knowledgeable, providing a wonderful mix of education and levity. She was also very helpful in recommending some local restaurants for after the tour. The price of the tour was definitely worth it, with a nice lunch and several delicious wine tastings. My only wish was that we had a bit more time on the river cruise! It seemed like it was cut slightly short. Overall a great experience!
