This was great! Highly recommend if you want a quicker travel time in a small group. The hosts were great and informative. Nice and smooth!
The organisation and the staff were amazing. However the castle itself we found was a little tacky. Everything was nicely kept, but our taste is more orthentic and perhaps from far earlier centuries. A wonderful day out and the scenery was spectacular, but would not go again.
A great way to see the Neuschwanstein Castle! Our experience itinerary was: - meet at the train station and jump on for an hour train ride - take a car for another hour to the town where the castle is located - have free time to go to the Marien Bridge before our tour (best view of the castle from the outside) - go through the Neuschwanstein Castle guided tour - have a bit of free time to visit the castle cafe before walking down to the meeting spot - return the way we came It was the perfect amount of time at the castle and everything was taken care of for us. They even had water and pretzels for us when they picked us up. Just be on time for pick up! We left some group members behind because they could not be found and we had a train to catch.
The tour of the castle is short. They're working on maximizing the number of people through the doors so it feels very rushed with no time to enjoy the details. That isn't the tour operator's fault. It's the castle operator's fault. You'll be in and out in thirty minutes. For the tour operator though, it was still very compressed. If you're looking for a very quick tour to fit into your schedule it can't get quicker. Departure from Munich at 0710 and return by 1300. Drop off in the town is at 0920 and pickup is at 1140 but there's a fifteen minute bus each way to factor in. If you're looking to check out the little town or the Museum Of Kings, well you can't because you're going to miss your ride back to the train station at Weilhiem.
Destiny: It's very worth it. Go! Tips: Take the bus to enjoy the views of the Marienbrücke. After your visit to the castle, go to the counter right after the coffee to enjoy the views of the Alps. Go back on foot, it's just going down. Tip 2: Escape from express walks. If you are told to arrive 1 hour before the visit to the castle and leave 1 hour after the visit, it is not good. It'll be very running. You won't have time to appreciate it. Program at least to arrive there 2 hours before, and leave 2 hours after the end of the visit. I ended up putting a 4 not because of fate. But due to the short time it was scheduled for my tour, and to draw your attention!
Very easy transfer to the beautiful castle and pleasant driver . The ride was beautiful to the castle as well
Experience was great!! We had a great half day at the castle and the guide was amazing making sure we knew exactly where we should be at what time.
We had a great time on our tour; organized and on time! The group was small and friendly; I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting a half day tour.
First time using Viator. Worked like a charm. Wanted help navigating travel from Munich to castle and back. Everything was well organized and very straightforward. Drivers and gentleman that met us for the trail were all helpful and polite. Driver gave some information during drive but I had trouble hearing being in the last row of van. Not his fault just too far back to hear.
Beautiful tour! Giide got us all efficiently on the train and transferred to vans! Was a great experience!
