João was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable, pleasant and flexible. He altered our trip easily to avoid the crowds and lines. He could not have done a better job. When we are back in Lisbon we will definitely avail ourselves of his services. I highly recommend him snd the company.

Phenomenal tour which highlighted Sintra’s must-see spots. Visited not only the key Sintra landmarks but also got to see the coast and local hangouts. João was the best tour guide, he was extremely insightful and knowledgeable on all things related to Sintra and overall Portugal’s history. He was accommodating to the my needs and flexible with our plans, allowing more or less time at each stop depending on my interests. John was such an excellent guide - what a gentleman and so incredibly knowledgeable! We had already used I Took a Tuk Tuk for a tour around Lisbon which was fantastic so was really looking forward to a private tour of Sintra, Pena Palace and Cabo Da Roca. The guide we had for the day was Miguel. He was so entertaining and knowledgeable about the sites we visited.But went above and beyond to give further information to enhance the day. The company booked a restaurant in Sintra which was excellent for lunch after the palace. We then visited Azenhas do Mar on the coast and also the most westerly point in Europe which is Cabo da Roca. A really full day which everybody agreed was great value for money with the added benefit of having Miguel as our guide.

Miguel was our tour guide. He took my aunt and I to the Pena Palace in Sintra, then to Cabo de Roca and back to Lisbon along the coast. His knowledge of the history and architecture of Portugal was amazing. My aunt uses a walker. Miguel was so helpful, kind and patient. This is the third time my family has used this company. Highly recommended. We give it a 10++.

Our guide Miguel showed us Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais with many details. Individual requests, such as short stops at various points, were promptly fulfilled and the culinary tips were also great. A very successful day and recommended excursion!

We were glad to get to Pena Palace early in the morning as the lines got really long and it was hot! We could have done without seeing the National Palace and would have enjoyed more time walking around the town of Sintra. The restaurant we ate at was really good! I forget the name but it is a fish restaurant on a beach. Cabo de Roca is not that exciting. It was super windy but it did give us a break to get out of the van and walk a bit before heading back to Lisbon. We didn't click with our guide which was a bummer as we spent all day with him. We also had to pay for his coffee, pastry, lunch and wine. We wish we had time to dine alone without him.

We were a bit surprised to read your review, especially as you had shared positive feedback both directly with our guide and in a message after the tour to me, mentioning that you had a great day, that you've enjoyed your day. Regarding your concerns, I’d like to clarify a few points. At no time were you expected to pay anything for the guide’s meals or snacks. From our understanding, you kindly invited him to join you for lunch, and he even offered to sit separately, respecting your privacy, as many of our clients prefer. Many times, clients prefer to have lunch alone which is, of course, completely fine! At the lunch time, he didn't order any dish choosing instead to share from whatever you were getting. Furthermore, during the stop at Periquita for a snack (for you), you graciously offered to get something for the guide as well, which was very thoughtful, but certainly not required or expected in any way. We believe it’s important to clarify this, as it now feels as though something you voluntarily offered has become a point of complaint. As this was a full-day guided tour, it is (our) standard for the guide to accompany guests throughout the day unless specifically requested otherwise (especially in the landmarks which are part of the itinerary and on the village, it's a guided tour after all - it’s supposed to give you cultural and historical information about the places you are visiting). If you had preferred more privacy during the landmarks or village visit, we could have easily adjusted the itinerary to suit your preferences if you had told him that you would rather prefer being alone. For guests who may prefer exploring independently, an Uber or self-guided option might have aligned better with those expectations. As for not “clicking” with the guide, we’re sorry to hear that. Without specific details, it’s challenging for us to identify where improvements might be needed. However, we greatly value your feedback and would appreciate any suggestions you may have to help us enhance future experiences. Regards Adriana, general manager
