Itinerary
Along this iconic street you'll learn about the rich history of Moorish influence in Lisbon. Also known for its traditional restaurants and theaters, it reflects the city’s classic dining culture and vibrant atmosphere.
Experience a classic Portuguese tavern! Enjoy a tasting of “fireman” chorizo and a delicious “bifana” pork sandwich, paired with your choice of beer or wine. Cheers!
Take an unforgettable picture of one of the oldest and most important churches in Lisbon.
Taste the Mozambican influence on Lisbon’s cuisine! At the longest running Mozambican restaurant in Lisbon, you'll get to sip beer or wine, alongside some tasty chamuças (Portuguese samosas).
Walk through Mouraria, one of Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods and the birthplace of Fado Music. Explore its narrow streets, rich multicultural spirit, and discover Camilla Watson’s striking murals, which celebrate local residents and the area’s living history.
Step into a traditional Fado house and savor octopus salad, followed by the classic Portuguese dish Bacalhau à Brás (codfish), paired perfectly with wine or beer.
Arguably one of the best viewpoints of the city, overlooking Lisbon’s downtown area and Tagus river.
A Portuguese food tour would not be complete without their most famous pastry, the pastel de nata! DISCLAIMER: the tour may end at a different location, but always a pastel de nata tasting.

We flew in the morning from the US and we were so hungry! Kriszti was warm and welcoming and had an aura of familiarity, like a old friend you haven't seen in a long time. The group we traveled with was engaging and open. Now for the important part: the food was delicious. The restaurants seemed like good local haunts, and not some overly curated corporate run slop spot. I highly recommend. The selections were a nice introduction to local cuisine and Kriszti sprinkled in some fun facts during the meal.
Aftwr you have done a typical highlights tour, this is the tour to do next. We made 4 stops along the walking tour tasting different types of Protugese food and wine. The last stop naturally is to have the traditional pastel da nata. David, our guide, mixed in his humour with the history. Well worth doing.

★★★★★ An unforgettable taste of Lisbon This food and wine tour was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon. Our guide clearly knew the city inside and out, leading us through narrow backstreets to spots we never would have found on our own — a tiny tasca for the best bacalhau I’ve ever had, a family-run shop for pastéis de nata still warm from the oven, and a cozy wine bar where we sampled Vinho Verde and a rich Douro red paired perfectly with local cheeses and cured meats. What made it special wasn’t just the food, though every bite was excellent — it was the stories. Our guide wove in bits of history, local culture, and personal anecdotes that made each stop feel meaningful, not just a photo op. The pace was relaxed, the group was small, and there was plenty of time for questions and conversation. By the end, we’d eaten and drunk our way through some of Lisbon’s best-kept secrets and left with a genuine feel for the city’s food culture. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Lisbon who wants to eat well and go beyond the typical tourist spots.
