Nelson, our tour guide was knowledgeable and explained so much about the Shrine, it was a truly amazing tour. Thank you Nelson. A wonderful 4 hours spent exploring the Shrine, and the gardens, the roof top balcony views were so special. I went in with no expectations and this tour was so special that I will always remember my day here. We had food and drinks, bought some souvenirs. My only request would be that the Shrine show the Bombing of Darwin, Townsville and Broome, we only viewed 1 photo of the Cubillo family and think being from Darwin that it is an important piece of history, that we should not forget. I rate the Shrine as a 10/10, must see in Melbourne. Beautiful history.
The Shrine of Remembrance is a truly impressive and moving place to visit in Melbourne. The architecture is stunning and the atmosphere is very peaceful and respectful. We also enjoyed the views of the city from the balcony area. It’s a meaningful place to learn about Australia’s history and well worth a visit.
Thank you for your thoughtful review of the Shrine of Remembrance. We're pleased to hear how the architecture and atmosphere made an impact.
What an amazing experience. Our guide Michael was full of energy and wisdom. He made the tour super enjoyable. He gave us lots of information and background history of how the memorial came to be. I am so glad I did the tour. Stunning beautiful building!
It was a wonderful memorial building to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of all those that contributed to the service of protecting the Australian nation. The guides were exceptional in their knowledge and presentations of the artifacts contained within the building. I say guides because although I signed up for a guided tour with one guide. Others were located throughout and when they weren't leading a tour, they were assisting with questions and directions. It was a moving and informative experience. I highly recommend it.

Was a very interesting tour, Daniel explained everything very well. Basically a small building with "a lot" in it.....both physical to see; & history to see & hear.
Sam was a very knowledgeable tour guide. I managed to learn a lot about the building and its significance in how it was so thought fully created. It was surprising to see how big the shrine is. I have lived in Melbourne for many years and been to the shrine several times. I am so glad to have now done the tour and learnt firsthand what a delightful tourist attraction and place of such important history to Melbourne and Victoria this place really is.
