Description

WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF FIVE STAR REVIEWS! We operate 7 days a week without fail! And it is a great thing to do if you are in Melbourne and it is raining all day! After years of providing private group tours for friends, family and businesses, we realised how much we love to please people and try and go the extra mile to see a bigger smile at the end of the day. So we built out our new Yarra Valley Public Tour that has the necessary itinerary but also has flexibility to split up the group depending on their preferences on wine, gin, food and chocolate.

Tour Options

Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour

Itinerary

Pass by

"The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia" - FLINDERS STREET, 3000 (This is directly opposite 154 Flinders Street) - A 2 minute walk from Melbourne's main train station - Flinders Street Railway Station. You will be greeted by one of our tour guides in either one of our 14-seater white Mercedes-Benz buses or one of our 22-seater buses at 8.35am, where we will check you in and pick your seat. The bus leaves promptly at 9am or earlier if everyone has arrived. Late arrivals cannot be waited for. If everyone arrives early and we depart early, then we can stop half way for a coffee and look for kangaroos (weather dependant).

Pass by

Just a 60 minute drive to get you to your first winery. (30 minutes on the freeway and 30 minutes through the countryside and vineyards, passing through the lovely town of Warrandyte).

35 min

We visit Soumah every day. You will enjoy a guided tasting of five different wines, varying from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo and Brachetto. You will be sure to find something pleasing while overlooking the rolling hills of the vineyard and the majestic Warramate Hills.

60 min

We visit St Huberts Cellar door every day. Here you will enjoy four of their well-known wines. Don't feel like wine? Let us treat you to a can of beer or cider instead? How about a spirit tasting? For a small fee, you can pay for a gin or whisky tasting at St Huberts Cellar Door! Talk about spoilt for choice!

60 min

We visit 'Quarters' restaurant @ Hubert Estate every day for lunch and a look around their indigenous art gallery on the floor below their cellar door. If you brought your own food, you can eat it somewhere away from their grounds. We will sit in the restaurant and enjoy lunch together. Food and drink are not included in the tour price here, as to give you more freedom to enjoy whatever you choose for your lunch. They offer a wide variety of fantastic food here and cater for all dietary requirements. "With a menu full of Modern Australian and European inspired dishes, Quarters is perfect for foodies, families, and everyone in between. Think succulent steaks, vibrant local veg, and delicate, flaky fish. Feeling extra hungry? Try some pasta, handmade on site, and our incredible (yes, incredible) woodfired pizza, unlike any others in the region. Lucky everyone has a second stomach for dessert, because our dedicated team of pastry chefs will tempt anyone with a sweet tooth."

5 min

On the way to lunch at Hubert Estate, we can pull into Chandon, Yarra Valley's home of sparkling wine, for a photo and to browse their shop. There is no booking here. You can also have lunch there if you would like, instead of Hubert Estate, but you will have to contact Chandon yourself and make your lunch booking in your own name. (You will have to contact us to ask us what time you need to make this booking please). This would mean you would miss the 11.30am St Huberts wine tasting with the rest of the group. We would then pick you up at 1pm to head to The Chocolaterie for a private chocolate tasting together. At Hubert estate, we have lunch tables booked seven days a week. At Chandon, there is nothing booked and you will have to make your own booking if you would like to have lunch there.

35 min

If The Chocolaterie isn't your thing, then let your driver know at lunch and they will happily take you to Yarrawood Estate Winery where you can buy yourself a glass of wine. Or we can also take you to Balgownie Estate early where you can buy yourself a drink before we arrive with the rest of the group and pay for your wine tasting.

45 min

We visit the Chocolaterie every day for a fantastic guided tasting of 10 of there 500 different chocolates. The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery is a popular attraction in the Yarra Valley, known for their wide variety of handmade chocolates and delicious ice cream. Visitors can watch the chocolatiers at work, sample their products, and purchase gelato and gifts to take home.

45 min

We visit Balgownie Estate every day. You will enjoy a guided tasting of five different wines and whilst enjoying the incredible views! Balgownie Estate is also an award winning hotel. So if you do not want to join in with the guided wine tasting, then we will buy you a glass of wine or a tea or a coffee and you can take a seat and enjoy the ambience and the view.
