GPS doesn't work and the directions are vague and hard to follow. Good history but impossible as an experience if not with someone familiar with the area
It’s a fun tour lots of history. The average person should have no problems walking this tour.
Definitely start with a full charge on your phone and ear buds. We made it to the end of the walk but just barely. We learned a lot! We stopped the narration here and there to visit longer and were able to pick it up again.
This tour involves so much walking so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. At some points where you are supposed to go is a bit confusing but overall you see most of it by following the audio guides directions. You do use your own phone as your audio guide so make sure that you have a charged phone.
Good way to see the main sites and learn of the history. Final section was a distance from downtown Boston but can get ferry back. Better to do it early (before 9am) when no crowds.
We could not ever access the material. Very disappointing
The WalknTours itself was excellent! The narration, sound effects and music were perfect and directions so clear it was like having someone in person leading the tour. I also listened to it again later to fill in more details. My only problem was getting started. I had my ticket through Viator, but it would have been helpful if the instructions said to completely download the experience before going to starting spot. Thankfully, the Boston visitor center was able to get me started.
It was so nice to go at our own pace and stop if we needed something to drink or wanted to look around. We are able to go back and use the tour again to visit what we missed. Would definitely use again.
I never got an email with a code or anything so we paid for the tour and never got to use it. Very frustrating.
Easy enjoyable walk, lovely weather, informative info on the audio, getting to the start was a bit confusing. Wonderful idea that the tour inteoduced us to a lot of downtown Boston. Few interruptions on the walk when a location was closed or construction eliminated the trail leading to confusion.
