Add to the cost- $30 to get to your launch point. There are about 7 different rental companies at the same place. Slightly unorganized. Incredibly steep walk to the water & back up. I would not call the kayaks “performance”. This was a rental only, no guide- we were given few instructions and sent on our way. The water itself was extremely choppy and the river/lake was very busy with boaters. We never made it to the canyon- got tired of fighting the kayak and waves from all the boats, turned around and came back! Not an enjoyable time at all! For the money, What does it include? - a well used life jacket, a paddle and a well used kayak! Good luck!
This was really easy to find. It was easy to contact the rental company and they were extremely helpful. The kayak trip was allegedly 2.5 miles from point A to point B, but my app I recorded showed around 3 and a half miles. It could have just been the way we paddled though. Regardless, this hike to the canyon was gorgeous and totally worth it. It wasn't too busy in the morning time and there were plenty of areas along the river to park the kayak and go for a quick swim. I recommend this to anyone looking for a fun activity in AZ. Also, I would say this is suitable for any level of fitness as the rental company allowed rental from 8am to 5pm. Plenty of time to paddle and explore the canyon and be back in time.

Great service. The kayaks are good & and the guys are very friendly. Everything was very smooth from booking to kayaking. The only one thing that should be improved is to ask the customer which kayak they would prefer - the flat ones or the ones where you sit inside. Because once they bring it down it is very difficult for them to go back up the hill & get another one. Rest everything was perfect !
Was a very nice experience. The 5 mile round kayak was a long way for the wife and daughter. Had I to do it again. Would have picked doubles so my son and I could help the two of them paddle. Wonderful experience overall.
We enjoyed our time on the water. Wyatt was friendly and helped us get situated with our kayaks. Only thing was the kayaks were clearly well used and not very fast - but that’s to be expected for a rental.

We had the best experience doing the self guided kayak trip into Antelope Canyon. We travel with our dog, so this was the only way for us to experience that with him, but honestly it was the best experience as it was without large groups of people. The weather was beautiful, the guys that got us going were knowledgeable, helpful and provided us with the information to enjoy this remarkable place on our own time table. It was a manageable paddle in and out, and we could hike for as long as wanted. I would do this again without hesitation and recommend anyone who loves self guided trips to look into this.
