Your experience begins with an accredited guide/driver who will pick you up from your hotel lobby and transfer you to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island at the V&A Waterfront. The guide will assist you with check-in and direct you to the ferry boarding area. You will board the ferry for a scenic journey across Table Bay to Robben Island, enjoying views of Cape Town and the coastline. On arrival, you will join the official guided tour, starting with a bus tour around the island where you will see key landmarks including the Lime Quarry. The tour continues with a visit to the Robben Island Maximum Security Prison, where you will learn about the history of political prisoners and see Nelson Mandela’s Prison Cell. After the tour, return by ferry to the gateway, where your driver will transfer you back to your accommodation.

Kindly note that the guide/driver will not board the ferry to Robben Island. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking medication before boarding. Please also bring a light jacket, wear comfortable walking shoes, and carry snacks if needed. Ensure you have a copy of your passport or ID available on your phone for check-in.
