Our kids loved zooming around in the off-road vehicle. It’s such a great way to see the craters and also get close up around the water.
It was a great time. Saw dolphins and whales ( can’t remember the names). Seat are uncomfortable on speedboat. Over all I give it a 10. Bring a rain jacket.
A great way to see Sete Cidades! So nice to be out in nature, zipping from sight to sight. The quads were easy enough to drive — and the landscape is stunning!
What an incredible time exploring the island! Ruben, our guide, was sooooo kind, knowledgable, and fun. Would recommend for anyone wanting an island adventure.
Great family experience, the ride is beautiful. We loved this quad ride, with an interesting and friendly guide
There was more riding than I expected which was great. They take you to some beautifully scenic locations.
Great, fun way to see the island on the way to Sete Cidades! Be prepared for any weather, bring a rain coat just in case1
This was an amazing experience with breathtaking views! Our tour guide shared secrets of the island only locals would know to make our experience even better! Would 1000% recommend and do again!
We booked what was advertised as a half-day off-road quadbike adventure, but what we actually got was a sightseeing tour that happened to include a few minutes of light off-roading. While the scenery was beautiful and the guide clearly knew the area well, this was not the off-road experience we were promised. The tour got off to a frustrating start. Even before we arrived we felt uncomfortable because we never got a confirmation email. We were asked to arrive around 13:00, but ended up waiting over 30–40 minutes before anything began. The facilities at the starting point were also quite poor. I needed to use the toilet but decided against it after seeing how dirty it was. When we finally started, the first part of the route was described by the guide as "a boring tar road" used just to get to the off-roading area. That description turned out to be very accurate and immediately lowered our expectations. The first off-road segment was so mild it felt like something I encounter daily just getting to my own house. The second off-road section was a bit more enjoyable, but both sections together only lasted about 20 minutes—and that’s being generous. If we had been allowed to ride faster than 10 km/h, it could have been done in under five minutes. The road back to the starting point was 50% the same as the road we took in the first half. There was a drink stop included halfway through the tour, but the drinks themselves were not included, which felt a bit weird. On top of that, riding in a nine-vehicle convoy felt restrictive and really took away from any sense of adventure. That said, I did still enjoy spending time on a quadbike with my girlfriend and taking in the beautiful views. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which added some value. However, I would have much preferred to rent a quadbike without a guide. That way we could have gone at our own pace, avoided the convoy, and maybe even done some real off-roading. I suspect we would have stopped at the same viewpoints anyway. In the end, it was a nice sightseeing tour, but it was wrongly marketed as an off-road adventure. I think we would have felt a lot better about the trip if the word offroading wasn't used in the marketing. TL;DR: Beautiful views and a friendly, knowledgeable guide, but this was a mild sightseeing tour in disguise—not the off-road quadbike adventure that was advertised
Tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. What an exciting introduction to Sete Ciudades! Breathtaking views and a most memorable experience.
