Path of the Lemons

Enzo was a wonderful tour guide, along the Path of the Lemons. Very friendly and provided lots of history along the journey. Stopped for lemon treats at a Lemon Farm.

Highlight of our Amalfi Coast trip

This is an excellent experience. No need to pay for a guided tour, you can just hike the path on your own - no charge. Look on line for directions. There are a lot of stairs, but the path is easy to find at both ends. There are a few service/retail shops along the trail. We recommend Agricola Ruocco's, the nearest to the Minori end for refreshments and an exceptional experience and great service.

Perfect Hike with Enzo!

To say that Enzo went above and beyond for us would be an understatement. He truly did everything possible to make this the most amazing hike for us. It wasn’t just a hike—Enzo made it a cultural experience that we will fondly remember forever. Enzo was communicative, warm, positive, knowledgeable, and fun. He is not only an expert on the hiking trails of the region, but also on the history and wildlife. He taught us so much about the history of the Amalfi Coast and on the agricultural production in the area. We got to sample lots of local lemon products along the hike, and it was such a special (and delicious) experience. The hike gave us the experience to visit both Minori and Maiori, two very authentic destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, we passed through charming hamlets and saw scenery that we never would have seen otherwise! Enzo offered to take lots of photos of us along the way which we really appreciated. Reasonably fit people would not find the Path of the Lemons to be challenging, so I would recommend this experience to anyone! Enzo was so patient with us as we took our time taking pictures and soaking in the views. I highly recommend booking the Path of Lemons, or any other hike, with Enzo and Cartotrekking.

Awful logistics

When I booked this trip, the Viator site gave two departure points, Minori and Ravella. There was no info on the site that said they would only be leaving from one of them. They sent a message on a Viator system (nobody said that was how they's communicate) and also sent me a note on my email - but they said that was about a tour of Pompei. So it was a hot mess. They said I could wait an hour and somebody would get us but we didn't have that much time to wait. Despite the awful communications, they offered NOTHING in to make it right. I recommend you skip Viator and book directly with the tour operator.

Operator response

This review is not pertinent. Mr. Short is probably getting confused with another tour: we sent two messages to meet him in Ravello at the time he chose. He just needed to let us know, even half an hour in advance, that they preferred to leave from Minori; Instead. at right at meeting time we received a phone call from him informing us that they were in Minori, we asked him to wait half an hour and the guide reached Minori in 25 minutes. It is not true that we asked him to go to Pompeii (why? Pompeii is not involved in any of our tours) and there was no need to offer him an alternative: we satisfied Mr Short request in the shortest time humanly possible and the tour could be done. Peace!

Steps along the lemons

What a wonderful morning. Alissia was absolutely the best guide ever! We can honestly say that he went so far out of his way! The walk is beautiful, and even had some fresh squeeze lemonade along the way!

Patch of the Lemons with CartoTrekking

I took this trip with Vincenzo (CartoTrekking) and my family. We started in Ravello (which is where he is from and seemed to know everybody) and spent several hours walking down to Maori. Vincenzo studied botany in school so it was very impressive to have him point out all of the plants (many edible) growing along the route in addition to lemons, figs, etc. We all wore out our cameras taking pictures because practically every turn leads to another great picture opportunity. Would definitely take this trip with CartoTrekking again!
