Itinerary

Admission included90 min

The Activity: A scenic, mostly level hike along the shoreline of one of British Columbia’s most spectacular alpine lakes. We hit the day's furthest point first, experiencing the vivid turquoise of the "Jewel of Yoho" and its breadth of geological features through active discovery before the mid-day rush. The full lakeside loop is 5.2km; we will complete the trail in its entirety or in part, depending on your group’s preference, the season, and current trail conditions. Duration: 1–2 hours.

Admission included15 min

A brief stop along Emerald Lake Road to observe the Kicking Horse River as it carves its way through solid rock.

75 min

The Activity: A visit to the most iconic basin in the range. We’ll move along the shoreline to reach the quieter vantage points of the lake and surrounding peaks, offering a better perspective of the Victoria Glacier and castle-like Fairmont Chateau. The in-and-out lakeshore trail is up to 4.6km in length, with nominal elevation gain. On our way out to Marble Canyon we have an optional brief pitstop at Lake Louise Village.

Admission included45 min

The Activity: A weaving, 1.8km in-and-out trail featuring the stunning blues of Tokumm Creek, waterfalls, and several canyon-straddling footbridges from which you can peer straight through the limestone edges to the creek below. One of Kootenay National Park's best spots.

Pass by

Crossing the Continental Divide is a unique experience because you are standing on the "spine" of North America, where the geography dictates that a single drop of water will either flow west toward the Pacific or east toward the Atlantic.

Pass by

The Activity: Time permitting, we transition to the Bow Valley Parkway for part of the leg back toward Banff. A quieter and more relaxed alternative to the Trans-Canada Highway, this route offers a different perspective of the valley and more frequent wildlife sightings. Note: certain sections are subject to seasonal closures for wildlife and to create a vehicle free experience for cyclists; during these times, the open sections of the parkway might not fit with the rest of our itinerary.

Beautiful Scenery, Incredible Service, Wonderful Memories

We had an absolutely amazing experience with MOLARI Tours and our guide Russell! From the beginning, communication was excellent, and he made the entire day feel relaxed, safe, and personalized. Russell was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared so many interesting facts throughout the tour while also making sure everyone in our group felt comfortable and included — including our senior family member. He was patient, attentive, funny, and genuinely passionate about what he does. The scenery was breathtaking, and the entire experience felt very well organized without ever feeling rushed. We especially appreciated all the small details: water refills, safety reminders, flexibility with timing, and the overall warm energy he brought to the day. If you are visiting the Banff/Canmore area and want a memorable, stress-free experience, I highly recommend booking with MOLARI Tours. Thank you again, Russell, for such a special day!

The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—from the turquoise glow of Lake Louise to the quiet beauty of Emerald Lake and the dramatic canyon walls at Marble Canyon. The short hikes were relaxed and perfectly paced, and our guide, Russell, shared so many fascinating stories about the region. Having door‑to‑door transport and a picnic lunch made the whole day effortless. This is the perfect way to explore the national parks in comfort and style!
