The first city in the world to have been hit by an Atomic Bomb. You will see the facts through exhibits, paintings by A-bomb survivors, and data. It is a museum that makes a big difference whether you visit here or not.
Stroll the park and visit several monuments. The strength of the recovery from the tragic past and the beauty of the park today. Please listen to the stories and thoughts that only someone who grew up in Hiroshima can tell.
The famous tragic story of one girl "SADAKO". You can see many origami cranes.
The Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building miraculously retains its original appearance as it is located almost directly below the hypocenter. It symbolically represents the tragedy of war. Seeing it in person might change something about you.
Right above this Shima hospital, the atomic bomb exploded. Imagine what it must have been like to stand there.
See the Samurai castle built in the 16th century, although it is a replica because it was destroyed by A-Bomb. Normally, only photo stop from the outside, but if you wish, you can enter the museum inside (optional). There is a history of Hiroshima and the castle, armor and Japanese swords.
One of the oldest Japanese gardens. The beautiful garden with its pond, trees, and undulations was created in 1620 and belonged to a Samurai who settled the area. Its peaceful and natural scenery will make you feel the good old Japanese culture!

Our guide Aya was amazing. She spoke fantastic English. Was beyond accommodating to our group. It was a rainy day and she still continued with us despite the rain. We started at the museum because the rain. Her personal stories we poignant. I am very glad we choose a guide as it really truly enhanced the experience. On a side note my father fell and actually broke his hip while walking through the museum and she was beyond helpful in so many ways. Truly a wonderful human. I would absolutely recommend 1000 times yes.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Your review truly means a lot to me. I was so sorry that your father was injured. I've been thinking about him and all of you ever since, and I sincerely hope he is recovering well and feeling stronger each day. Sending you all my warmest wishes.
This was a fantastic tour, I would highly recommend. Aya is a terrific guide, incredibly knowledgeable, personable and passionate about peace. We opted to do a tour in Hiroshima so that we could connect with someone locally and get a deeper understanding of the incredible impact that the A-Bomb had on countless people and their families. We greatly enjoyed our visit including the A-Bomb Dome, Peace Museum as well as Shukeien Garden which was absolutely stunning. Aya also went out of her way in the weeks and days ahead of meeting to help with logistics and provide a host of other suggestions for things to do during our brief visit. Truly above and beyond, next level service!
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. The three hours I spent with both of you were truly special and memorable for me as well. I was deeply impressed by the wonderful bond between you and by the sincere way you engaged with the exhibits at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It was clear how thoughtfully you approached the experience, and that left a lasting impression on me. It was a great honor to be your guide. I like to think that the fish jumping several times at Shukkeien Garden was their way of welcoming you both! Thank you as well for sharing your insights about sports culture in the United States. I really enjoyed our conversations and learned a lot from them. When I visit Osaka, I will definitely stop by the sushi restaurant you recommended! I hope our paths cross again someday. From Hiroshima, I'll be cheering for your daughter and wishing her every success as she pursues her dreams. Until then, I wish you both a wonderful remainder of your journey in Japan and many unforgettable memories. Thank you again for coming to Hiroshima.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a walking tour of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. I found out about Masa through YouTube, which made her laugh when I told her, but this experience completely surpassed anything I could have anticipated. The tour takes you through the Peace Memorial Museum, the A-Bomb Dome and the Peace Park, but it was the museum that stayed with me most. The exhibits are powerful and deeply personal and they stay with you long after you leave. It is not an easy place to walk through, nor should it be. What truly elevates the tour beyond the exhibits is Masa herself. At certain points along the walk, she shares her own family's story and the direct impact the bombing had on them. Hearing that account, told with quiet dignity and no drama, while surrounded by the evidence of that day, adds a layer of meaning that no book could ever provide. It was a genuine education and a reminder of how little we truly know about this history in our own corner of the world. It leaves you in no doubt about the devastating and lasting impacts of nuclear war, on people, on families, on generations that followed, and you go home with a very different perspective. Our whole group left quietly moved and, honestly, humbled. Masa's generosity didn't stop at the tour either. She was kind enough to offer suggestions on things to do in and around Hiroshima, all of which were wonderful. Our only regret was not getting a group photo with her. Thank you, Masa. You made Hiroshima unforgettable in every sense. Absolutely unmissable.
Thank you so much for this beautiful and heartfelt review. I am deeply grateful that you found me through YouTube and chose to join my tour. It was such a joy to spend time with the four of you. You were all so kind, warm, thoughtful, and fun to be with. I was also amazed to hear that you had created your Hiroshima itinerary with AI. Travel may begin with technology, but the most meaningful moments still come from real human connection. Thank you for listening with open hearts to Hiroshima’s history and to my family’s story as a second-generation A-bomb survivor. I truly hope that experiences like this, where people feel something deeply, can help our world move even a little closer to peace! Wishing you all happiness, health, and many more wonderful journeys!
Yuka was really great and so patient about a late arrival from the train. We spent 2 days with her and it felt like traveling with a friend. For this tour, she knew the exact order to take us around, starting with beautiful Japanese gardens and then to the A-bomb dome, through peace park ending with the Hiroshima peace museum. She shared details you can't get in your own. We even had dinner together at a popular restaurant with locals and enjoyed okonomikaki, which is a regional dish of Hiroshima. I highly recommend her tours!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I truly enjoyed spending two days with you in Hiroshima and Miyajima. It was a pleasure getting to know you, and I really enjoyed our conversations throughout the two days. I'm also glad we enjoyed Hiroshima okonomiyaki together, a favorite among many locals. I hope to see you again on your next visit to Japan.
We had a truly wonderful experience on this Private Guided Tour in Hiroshima. Our guide, Yuca, was warm, sincere, knowledgeable, and very thoughtful throughout the entire tour. The tour gave us many meaningful insights into Hiroshima’s history, and hearing the voices and testimony of an 2nd generation A-bomb survivors was especially moving. Yuca’s guidance helped us understand the history not only factually, but also on a much more personal and emotional level. Her sincerity and dedication made the experience feel very special. Especially visiting an elementary school located within 500 meters of the hypocenter (now a museum) was deeply moving. At the end of the tour, we visited the Peace Memorial Museum on our own. While the museum is undoubtedly important, it was very crowded and felt a little overwhelming after such an emotional experience. For us, the guided tour itself was by far the most powerful and memorable part of the day. This was much more than a typical sightseeing tour. It was respectful, insightful, and deeply meaningful. I would highly recommend this Private Guided Tour to anyone visiting Hiroshima who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the city, its history, and its message of peace. Thank you Yuca🩷
Thank you very much for your incredibly thoughtful and detailed review. I’m truly honored and grateful that the tour left such a strong impression on you. This was a special custom tour focused on Hiroshima’s history, its reconstruction, and the lives of the people connected to it, and I feel grateful that I was able to share such an experience with you. I’m also glad that the visit to the school and the testimony session became meaningful parts of your experience, as those are not always easy to include in standard tours. As a Hiroshima guide, it means a great deal to me to meet guests like you who wish to learn more deeply about the city’s history and stories.Experiences like this also encourage me to continue growing as a guide. Thank you very much! I hope we will meet again someday!
Masayo was an excellent guide. She was a descendant of a survivor and able to share an intimate history of what occurred in Hiroshima. Highly recommend her for a private tour as her knowledge was vast and very friendly.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review. Although it was a rainy day, I was grateful to share such a peaceful and meaningful time with you. Your deep insight and warmth truly inspired me, and encouraged me to keep doing my best. I wish you continued good health and a life filled with happiness and peace!
Masa was a great guide! She does a great job conveying the importance of the events that took place in Hiroshima, and she is very passionate about the history of this city. I recommend her 100%.
¡Muchas gracias! Just having you visit Hiroshima already means a lot to me, but I’m especially grateful that your family tried so deeply to understand the history with such intelligence and kindness. I would love to visit your country someday too! I’ll keep studying Spanish and hopefully we can meet again one day 😊 ¡Les deseo mucha felicidad y buena suerte!
Naomi was an excellent tour guide. Super knowledgeable, has direct family connection to the bombing, and probably one of the sweetest and kindest people we have ever met.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. Naomi is truly happy to hear this. Her deep knowledge, personal family connection, and warm heart make her such a special guide, and I’m so grateful you felt that during the tour. Thank you for taking the time to visit Hiroshima with us and to learn about its history so sincerely. We wish you all the best and hope to welcome you again someday!
Masa has given us a very informative and varied tour of Hiroshima. Her great knowledge and family history fascinated us. Due to their open and accessible nature we could enjoy a great tour. We were allowed the Memorial Museum, Memorial Park, the Cathedral, the Castle and the beautiful Shukkein Garden.
Danke vilmal! Thank you so much for your kind words. It was truly a pleasure to spend the day with you two. Your warm personalities and free-spirited way of traveling made the experience so special. I’m really happy we could share such meaningful moments. Wishing you many more wonderful adventures ahead!
A really top and very interesting visit. Our guide was super, passionate and very attentive. We learned a lot and had a great time. An experience we highly recommend.
Merci beaucoup! It was such a pleasure to spend the day with you both—I truly enjoyed being part of your special mother-and-son journey. I really appreciated your deep respect for Japanese culture and history; it meant a lot to me. I’m also glad the day was just as you like it—not too crowded—and that we could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. I would love to see his work someday, and I highly recommend visiting Naoshima as well. And when you do, please come back to Hiroshima—we can visit Miyajima together! I hope our paths cross again someday!
