If it is hot… run from the museum; it is an OVEN!!! It does not have air conditioning, and there are rooms that they simply close off.
Tony is a retired archeologist who works at the museum a few days a month. He was able to demonstrate with specific examples that archeology is a science and can tell the stories of the past. He navigated us through the maze of the British Museum to highlight specific artifacts and bring them to life for our family. Other benefits of this tour: -Tony held a spot in line so we were the first ones to enter -He knew how the crowds would move so we were able to see the Rosetta Stone right away then discuss in detail near a recreated version
Anthony was a terrific guide. He was funny and engaging and answered all of my kids questions. We had a varied group and all of us learned something new and had a great time.
Anthony was a wonderful guide. He taught us so much and was so knowledgeable. Having been to this museum many other times, I still learned a lot and saw things I hadn’t seen before. Our whole family really enjoyed themselves.I would highly recommend this tour!
We booked this tour as a treat for our 12-year-old grandson who has developed a passion for ancient history and mythology. Andrew was brilliant and more than met expectations. We spent most of the time covering Greece, not only about what happened but why. Andrew engaged our grandson in discussion for two and a half hours; unheard of! A brief text from him about 2 hours in to the tour sums up any recommendation – “still having the time of my life”.
Anthony was an awesome and funny tour guide! He was super detailed about his descriptions of the artifacts, paused for any questions and personalized the tour to my interests. Super fun way to experience such a massive and overwhelming museum. Highly recommend this tour!
Very entertaining and informative tour. Our guide was very passionate about history and context of the museum items.
Anthony was a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and interesting stories that lead to the conclusion that everything begins and ends with archaeology! ☺️
Anthony led a very engaging tour for us through the highlights of The British Museum. His knowledge - and even personal involvement - in many of the artifacts there really brought out the storytelling. Highly recommend!
Anthony was great! He helped us see some highlights and learn a lot. The museum would have been overwhelming as a family of 6 without a guide. My 15 year old son especially enjoyed it, as he loved Greek & Egyptian History.
