Miyajima's symbolic shrine stands in the middle of the sea and the floating torii gate is magnificent. The beautiful view from the red shrine is a masterpiece. Miyajima's oldest temple built more than 1200 years ago. Recently, it is a popular spot for visitors from abroad because of the divine favor found only in Miyajima! The autumn leaves are also beautiful if you decide to visit in Fall.

- Please be aware that at the Miyajima History and Folklore Museum, there are certain places that cannot be accessed by wheelchairs.
- Itsukushima Shrine's Otorii is under repairs (as of September 2019). Please be aware that you may not be able to see it depending on the timing of your tour.
- The travel expense is not included in the tour fee. Please bring extra money to experience this tour to its fullest. (Entrance fees, transportation fees, activity fees, etc. - at least about JPY 1000)
- If you do not arrive at the specified starting place after 60 minutes from the agreed meeting time, the tour will be considered canceled.

It was a beautiful place to visit. It was interesting to see the gate completely surrounded by water in the morning and in the afternoon you could al.ost walk to the gate when the tide was out. We had some trouble understanding his English, but he was very nice. Maybe some more practice. I would recommend this private tour if you have already done Peace Park etc.
