Stop at Europe’s oldest and only active tea plantation. Walk through the tea fields and visit the factory area (free entrance). A relaxed stop with great views and cultural value.
Visit Furnas Lake and see the geothermal area where the traditional Cozido das Furnas is cooked underground using volcanic heat. Steam vents, volcanic soil, and dramatic scenery.
Local Lunch Option (Not Included) Stop in Furnas town for a traditional Azorean meal — including the famous Cozido cooked underground by volcanic heat.
See the geothermal activity up close walk through the village and geothermal zone with bubbling springs and mineral-rich waters.
Walk the famed botanical gardens planted in the 18th century, then relax in warm thermal waters surrounded by exotic plants.
