Catarina provided an exceptional food and wine tour. She was friendly, knowledgeable and matched our interests and energy. The food and drink choices were outstanding and offered a thorough overview of Portuguese cuisine. Come hungry!
Brilliant 4 hours of eating, information and fun. The food knowledge was excellent and the stops were brilliant! We had João who was the best.
We had a fantastic tour with Catarina. We walked together around Lisbon, had a variety of delicious tastings, and learned so much about the history and culture of Portugal. The food and drink tastings took us to places that felt authentic and local and expanded our horizons on what to eat and drink in Lisbon. Catarina also gave us ideas and recommendations on what to see and do and where to go for meals. We were lucky to do this tour on our first full day in Portugal because it set the tone for great trip overall.
We had such a wonderful time with our guide, Joao. He was so knowledgeable about the city and Portugal as a whole. He guided us to a nice place where we were able to buy some tiles for a souvenir. He knew the city, the people and the food. I learned so much from our time together. His tour was better than reading about the city. We had a great time.
Loureno was our guide. He was absolutely phenomenal, five star all the way. His culinary knowledge was most impressive. He also intertwined local history throughout the tour. Wehad a marvelous time and highly highly recommend him.
Great private walking food tour- many different places to sample variety of local foods, along with learning the history
We had an outstanding experience on João Fernandes’ walking food tour of Lisbon. João took us to several delicious, authentic spots that we never would have found on our own—places where locals actually eat, not just tourist restaurants. Every stop was excellent, and the food was a wonderful introduction to Lisbon’s culinary culture. What truly set this tour apart was João himself. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon’s history, neighborhoods, and traditions, sharing fascinating insights throughout the tour. He was also exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, making everyone feel comfortable and engaged. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a great way to experience the city’s food, culture, and history, I highly recommend taking a tour with João. You won’t be disappointed!
