Amazing tour, small group, great company

It was a very early start but totally worth it! The colours at Lake Moraine as the sun rises are amazing. The trail along the lakes edge also provides many amazing views away from the crowds. Lake Louise is pretty special too, and the breaky was very tasty. Our guide, Kirsty, made the tour even more special. She was genuinely interested in everyone in the small tour group of 6 and had heaps of info on the lakes and their environments. And, Kirsty took a different route back to Banff with the potential to see some wildlife. We all got to see a black bear just off the road.

Operator response

Worth the early start, stunning colours, a tasty breakfast, a black bear on the way home and Kirsty taking a different route back just to give the group the best chance of finding one. That's the full package right there. Really glad she made the morning feel personal for everyone in the group and that the knowledge of the lakes and their environments added so much to it. Hope to have you back out here again sometime.

Good tour, with one exception

The sunrise at the lake was spectacular and our guide was very friendly. I was less impressed, however, with the cheapness of the company's management. After we booked our tour, they changed the details slightly by adding in a free breakfast. Since we had booked prior to this change, we were told, "bring your own food, because we won't be providing anything." There were only two other couples on the tour--six people altogether, including us. Instead just buying a couple of extra breakfast sandwiches, Radventures chose to save a few bucks and treat us like second-class members of the tour. "Here you go everyone, ham and egg croissants -- but not for you two! Hope you brought your own food." This seems short-sighted, and a pretty bad approach to customer service.

Operator response

Glad the sunrise delivered, and great to hear about your guide, that's the whole reason for the early start. On breakfast, food wasn't part of your original package, and we reached out to you directly ahead of your tour to confirm that, even though Viator's listing had since changed. So there was no surprise on the day from our side, you had that information well in advance. The other guests on your tour were in a different booking situation to you, which is why their experience differed. We take what's actually included in each tour seriously, and always aim to be upfront with guests well before their trip rather than leave anything to chance on the day. Thanks for getting out there with us, and glad the views made it worthwhile.

Seamless, stunning, and worth every early morning second!

Watching the sunrise at Moraine Lake was a bucket-list moment, and following it up with Lake Louise and the Mount Norquay Lookout made for a perfect morning. Our guide, Gabi from New Zealand, was phenomenal. Her local knowledge, friendly Kiwi attitude, and great playlist made the drive fly by. If you want a stress-free, deeply informative, and gorgeous tour of the Rockies, this is it.

Operator response

A bucket list sunrise at Moraine, Lake Louise, Mount Norquay Lookout and a guide who made the drive fly by with local knowledge and a great playlist. That's a stress-free and gorgeous morning done right. Really glad it was phenomenal and hope to have you back out here again sometime.

Spectacular tour and tour guide!

We had an amazing morning watching the sunrise over Moraine Lake, then spending a couple hours at Lake Louise and even getting a great scenic drive back to our hotel with the hope (no guarantee) of seeing some wildlife. “A-A-Ron” was the perfect guide. Gave us such great insight into the places we were going, knew exactly where we should be at sunrise, and found the most picturesque spots for photos. He even took a number of photos of us that we hope to use on a Christmas Card later this year. He also suggested techniques for taking our own photos, even accidentally fell into the lake to get the best shot. He provided interesting facts about the area while keeping the conversations light and entertaining. We could not have asked for a better tour, guide, or day. It truly was spectacular and the highlight of our trip to Banff! We would highly recommend Aaron and Radventures for the sunrise tour!

Operator response

Falling into the lake for the perfect Christmas card shot is still one of our favourite things Aaron has ever done for a guest. He really does put everything into making the morning as spectacular as possible, the spots, the techniques, the stories, and apparently full physical commitment when required. Really glad it was the highlight of the trip and hope to have you back out here again sometime.

Stunning scenery and a fantastic guide

If you’re debating whether waking up at 3am is worth it, it absolutely is. Watching the sunrise at Moraine Lake and visiting Lake Louise before the crowds was unforgettable. Gareth was an awesome guide. He’s funny, knowledgeable, and somehow cheerful before sunrise. He shared great stories, made sure everyone got amazing photos, and kept the whole morning running smoothly. Easily one of the highlights of our Banff trip. Highly recommend!

Operator response

Somehow cheerful before sunrise is about the most accurate description of Gareth we've ever read. He makes that early start feel completely natural and the fact that the stories, the photos and the smooth running of the morning all came together on top of that is exactly what we aim for. Really glad it was one of the highlights of your Banff trip. Highly recommended right back at you.

Absolutely mesmerised! What a perfect morning! Worth the 2:45 wake up. We were so lucky and got that perfect shot of Moraine Lake at sunrise! Liam our guide was brilliant and SO knowledgeable! I would certainly recommend using these guys! If we had more time I’d of happily booked another trip. Thanks again Liam for the perfect morning out

The best loved it

What an incredible experience! The Moraine Lake & Lake Louise Sunrise Adventure was one of the absolute highlights of our Canadian Rockies trip. Our guide, Liam, was outstanding. His knowledge of the Rockies, wildlife, history and the natural environment was exceptional, and his passion for the area was obvious throughout the entire tour. He made the morning informative, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable. The sunrise over Moraine Lake was simply breathtaking, and Liam knew exactly where to take us for the best photo opportunities. We came home with some amazing photos and memories that we will treasure forever. The early start was absolutely worth it, the transport was comfortable, everything was well organised, and we never felt rushed. If you’re visiting Banff, don’t hesitate to book this tour. Thank you, Liam and Radventures, for an unforgettable morning!

Operator response

What a wonderful review, thank you so much. Liam knowing exactly where to take you at exactly the right moment at Moraine Lake at sunrise is what separates a great guide from a good one, and coming home with photos and memories you'll treasure forever is exactly what we set out to deliver. The 2:45 wake up is always worth it when it comes together like that. Really glad the transport, the organisation and the pace all held up too. Liam will be so pleased to read this.

A breathtaking start to the day

Our guide, Nolan, made our morning truly special. Our visit to Moraine Lake just before sunrise was spectacular. While the true highlight was the scenery, we were fortunate to enjoy Nolan’s great insights about the site, finding optimal spots for photos, and the coffee he provided while on site! Despite the large numbers that like to attend this sunrise spectacular, Nolan helped us to enjoy the intimacy of the small group and avoid the crowds. Our visit to Lake Louise was just as much fun. After offering us a brief but informative “history” walking tour, he provided great recommendations of hikes for all interests and abilities. When the entire group (by coincidence) wanted to do the same hike, he joined us, led us, and was a source of encouragement and excitement along the way. This was so worth getting up in the middle of the night for the tour! (Oh, and we saw a bear!!)

Operator response

A sunrise at Moraine Lake, a bear sighting, Nolan joining the group hike and cheering everyone up the trail, that's a properly full morning. The coffee on site is a nice touch that a lot of people don't expect and it makes standing in the dark feel a lot more civilised. Really glad the small group format let you actually enjoy the place rather than just survive the crowds. Come back anytime.

Sunrise tour is the way to go!!!

My sunrise tour of Moraine Lake and Lake Louise was fantastic!!! The early AM wake-up was a bit rough but 100% worth the views and minimal crowds. My friend and I went on 6/20/26 with Bee and she was punctual, professional, laid back, and so much fun. I also appreciated her knowledge about the area and recommendations of things to see during our stay. I HIGHLY recommend this tour as opposed to trying to wing it all yourself; you won’t regret the convenience of it (AND the breakfast was unexpectedly delicious!!!).

Operator response

The early alarm is the hardest part and then you get there and it's immediately obvious why. Really glad Bee made it so effortless, punctual, laid back and genuinely fun at that hour is no small thing. Her recommendations for the rest of your stay are something she cares about too, she wants you to make the most of the time you've got here. And yes, the breakfast earns its own shoutout every time. 100% worth skipping the DIY version.
