The entrance ticket to the archaeological site of Pompeii is not included in the tour. Maria our tour guide was lovely. Her English was excellent and she was very knowledgeable. Took us a full tour of the site at a comfortable pace and fully explained all of the rooms we visited. She talked us through the impact of the eruption and the devastating effect of it on the people left in the old city. We felt we knew so much more about the site after this tour.
Very disappointing experience, especially considering the high price of this private 2-hour Pompeii tour. Raffaele was rude from the beginning and was not at the agreed pickup location when the tour started. His English was difficult to understand at times, and he never asked what we were most interested in seeing. The tour also felt unprofessional, with repeated comments comparing my hometown to “Walmart and McDonald’s back home,” (I’m not from the US). If you book with this company, I strongly recommend confirming who your guide will be beforehand and checking their individual reviews carefully.
