We walk through the main artery of the city to fill us with typical flavors and smells of Mexico: street stations and restaurants that the locals frequent. A unique and incomparable experience with a knowledgable guide that accompanies you in this three-hour tour around the city, typically away from tourist places. We continue on our way to have some locally handmade quesadillas with a special surprise ingredient!
We’ll stop by a family-run market where they stock hard-to-find and seasonal fruits, vegetables and fresh-squeezed juices, where you’ll be able to learn all about these exotic foods from your expert guide.
We are on our way again to a locally-operated fruit and veggie market, which houses many exotic fruits that are typical to Mexican farming and cuisine. It is at this market, located in downtown Playa del Carmen, where we are going to try local fruit juices, which is also a typical refreshment the locals enjoy daily. Afterward, your guide will lead you towards one of the best Taquerias in town, at which point tacos are served!
We walk through this plaza to find some tacos al pastor at one of our favorite food stands.
At this stop we'll try some mole.
We'll finish the tour with some local popsicles and icecreams.

Everything was amazing! Angelica was THE BEST TOUR GUIDE! Food was delicious experience amazing! The ceviche we had was my favorite and also the dessert at the end ! Definitely a must try tour!

This was a great tour. Abby was so kind and thoughtful. She was so full of knowledge and smiles. I really appreciated getting paired with her. She was the best. I would take a tour around the block if she was leading it. Absolutely highly recommend her and this tour.

The Tour was so much fun, the food spots we're awesome and undercover. The tour guide Enrique was great and gave us so much background knowledge and also told our group so much about culture and history of Playa del Carmen. Would definitely recommend this tour, but don't expect to be fully stuffed after the tour, mostly small portions but great variety.

We had the BEST time on our food walking tour with Enrique! My 20-year-old son and I loved every minute of it. Enrique was funny, knowledgeable, and took us to the absolute best local food spots. You can tell he truly loves the culture, the people, and the food, and that made the experience even better. We ate amazing food, laughed the entire time, and learned so much about the area. We had an amazing time with Angelica! Angelica showed us all around Playa del Carmen, took us to some amazing places we would never think to go, explained the history behind what we were eating, and even gave us plenty of local tips of where to try after the tour. Highly recommend to those trying to experience Playa beyond what 5th ave has to offer.
