The tour guide, Frank, was excellent. We was informative and engaging. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake were stunning. However, this tour was sold with stops at Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, and Crowfoot Glacier. None of these places were visited. The response from Trip Advisor was that the tour I paid for was a winter itinerary and not part of the summer itinerary. Be sure to read the fine print. Trip Advisor will sell packages that aren't current.
This tour was cancelled due to lack of interest. We were offered 2 other tours instead. We chose a tour to Johnston Canyon & Lake Louise. However, we arrived at Johnston Canyon to find it closed due to a tragedy. Our guide, Eddy, was amazing! He quickly pivoted plans and came up with a tour that we thought was better than the originals. Stunning views at Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge before visiting Lake Louise! Eddy was friendly, outgoing and very informative. What a wonderful experience! We would absolutely recommend a tour with this company!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for your incredible flexibility! We know how disappointing it can be when plans have to change unexpectedly, especially under such difficult circumstances at the Canyon. We are so proud of Eddy for his quick thinking and for ensuring you still had a 'wonderful experience' at Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge. It’s wonderful to hear that the day turned out even better than expected. We’ll be sure to pass your praise along to him!
Tony was fantastic! Funny, informative, helpful and educating. The tour was perfectly timed at each location. Highly recommended! We went in the winter and it was beautiful walking out on the lakes!
Thank you for the glowing recommendation! We are so glad you enjoyed the winter magic of walking out on the lakes. Tony is a favorite among our guests for his humor and local knowledge, and he will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We hope to welcome you back for a summer tour someday!
Tour visits a number of highlights of the area that are important to see. Group size was good, though vehicle size could have been better. Staff were helpful.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed visiting the highlights and appreciated our helpful team. We also value your comment about the vehicle size — it helps us improve future experiences.
Great driver, tour guide. Kept us on track and explained sites visited. Was very prompt and helpful.
Thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and found everything smooth and helpful. We look forward to seeing you again!
Very nice excursion, the guide Chris is really good, gives good explanations. We really liked it. The only downside is for dinner, next time I will bring a lunch to have time to shop. The stop is a little too short (1 hour ) in all to eat and shop. Thank you! Chris for a great day.
All day trip. You get to see the highlights of the area in one day. Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake were all spectacular. Our guide, Chris did a great job.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the lakes and had a great experience on the tour. It’s always our goal to make the day both memorable and enjoyable, and we hope to see you again on another journey soon.
Greta? (I struggle with names) is a wonderful guide. I had the luck to sit shotgun, she was a lot fun and engaging with the entire bus. Very adaptable switching from English to Spanish at a drop of a hat. Kept us on time with a light hand
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re delighted Greta made your tour fun, engaging, and adaptable for everyone. We’d love to welcome you back for another memorable adventure soon!
LakesMoraine,LouiseAnd Emerald were breathtaking. Curtis looked after us perfectly and we enjoyed all the sights we visited
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of Moraine, Louise, and Emerald Lakes. It’s great to know Curtis took good care of you and helped make your visit special. We truly appreciate you choosing Banff Journey and hope to welcome you again on another adventure!
William was the guide and driver of the tour - William is knowledgeable and passionate about the tour. He aims to create for his customers a memorable and unique experience in Banff. Whilst most of the Banff tours have identical itineraries, Banff Journey's itinerary is different - they do not only take you to the usual popular locations, but they also take you to some hidden gems in the region (and also some hidden spots for better viewing of the beautiful scenery and of course, for taking perfect photos!) ! Subject to weather conditions and the preference of the other tour members, they also take into account your preference and tailor make the tour. For my tour, we managed to hit Castle Junction, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Vermilion Lakes, Cascade Ponds, Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka, Bow River and Bow Falls on the day (we've been to some other popular spots on our own)! Of course, how many spots the tour can hit on the day will also depend on how long it stays at each spot.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed feedback! We're truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the journey with William. It means a lot to us that you noticed our effort in creating an experience that goes beyond the usual. At Banff Journey, we believe that every traveler deserves a unique and meaningful adventure — not just ticking off famous sights, but also discovering the lesser-known corners of the Rockies that take your breath away. We're also glad the flexible itinerary worked well for your group and that you were able to visit such a wide variety of stunning locations. Thank you again for choosing us — we’d love to welcome you back for more hidden gems next time!
