Paula was friendly, personable, and clearly enjoys showing visitors around Orvieto. The ride itself was the highlight of the tour. Cycling around the city walls, through the charming streets, and taking in the evening atmosphere was beautiful and well worth experiencing. One surprise was the condition of the bikes. They were functional, but ours were quite scuffed up, creaky, and looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in some time. Given the price of the tour, I expected equipment of a higher quality or at least better maintained. My husband and I are experienced e-bike riders, so we had no trouble keeping up or navigating the route. However, future travelers should know that Paula rides at a brisk pace and tends to lead from the front. He rarely looked back to check on the group. This wasn’t an issue for us, but less confident riders may find it challenging. As for the dinner portion of the tour, I would suggest managing expectations. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, but the meal was disappointing compared to the excellent food we’ve enjoyed elsewhere in Italy. The bread was quite hard, the presentation was uninspiring, and the salad appeared past its prime—I found myself picking around the brown leaves and eating only the tomatoes. My recommendation: book this tour for the scenic evening ride and the opportunity to see Orvieto from a unique perspective. The cycling experience is what makes this tour memorable, not the dinner.
Rich in history information leisurely ride throughout town/ city magnificent views Excellent dinner after
Paolo was an excellent host who showed a lot of passion and knowledge about the history of Orvieto. The bicycles provided were all in great condition and made the experience very fun. The dinner provided at the end was a great way to cap off the tour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to experience a fun and educational experience in Orvieto.
Paulo was an exceptional guide. This is such an incredible way to see this beautiful city. He was so knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Highly recommend this tour and the ebikes make it very easy to navigate the hills without any issue. Thank you Paulo!
A 'must do' in Orvieto !! Fantastic E- bike tour by Paola. Paola is kind, knowledgeable and a wealth of information about Orvieto and beyond.. It was so fun to bike along the cobblestone streets all around the village. Amazing viewpoints, and churches. We were learned more than we ever would've on our own. We highly recommend this tour and it would actually do it again. The next time we are in Orvieto.
Excellent tour. Paolo is a very attentive guide and knows very well the history of the region. I recommend!
Beautiful views and fun. Excellent guide. No bike helmets! Delicious food, but it was tapas, not dinner.
Knowledgeable guide, average food, a snack really, definitely not dinner portions and we are small portion eaters
GREAT ! Super way to enjoy the evening and learn the wonderful history from Pablo (SP?) also dinner was just as wonderful !!
The best tour we had so far. Paolo is a historian. He gave us a summarized history of Orvieto in a couple of minutes and mad it interesting even to our 12yo daughter! The tour is beautiful and so pleasant. You can appreciate the sundown light that gives a golden touch to all the buildings with no effort on your feet. We would not have seen so many beautiful streets walking by ourselves. And at the end of the day you can enjoy a surprising great wine and dinner at Cantina Foresi in front of the astonishing Duomo! What a wonderful experience. Thank you very much Paolo.
