Itinerary
Your tour begins early with a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride from Ginza. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views as you travel towards the mountainous region of Nikko, known for its rich history and breathtaking natural landscapes.
Upon arrival in Nikko, we enjoyed a panoramic view of the iconic Shinkyo Bridge from the bus. Painted in bright red, this sacred bridge gracefully spans the Daiya River and is one of the most photographed landmarks in the area.
You’ll depart for the magnificent Toshogu Shrine, the lavish mausoleum of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu—considered one of Japan’s most beautiful and ornately decorated shrines. Renowned for its vibrant colors and intricate carvings, the shrine features iconic symbols like the “Three Wise Monkeys” and the “Sleeping Cat.” If you select the option with the ticket, you'll enjoy full access to explore the richly adorned inner areas of the shrine complex, including the five-story pagoda, while learning about the Tokugawa family’s lasting impact on Japanese history. If you do not select the admission option, you’ll have approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to enjoy the surrounding area at your own pace—whether strolling the peaceful grounds or browsing nearby shops and attractions.
The tour continues to Kegon Falls, one of Japan's most spectacular waterfalls, located in Nikko National Park. You’ll arrive at the Kegon Falls area, after a 40 minute bus ride, and once there, you’ll have 1h 20 minutes free time to admire this 97-meter-high waterfall. You can walk to the observation deck or take an elevator to get closer to the base of the falls. This is also the perfect time to enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you can taste local specialties like yuba (tofu skin) or freshwater fish dishes. (Please note: Due to weather conditions, during January and February, the visit to Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji will be replaced with a panoramic view of Rinnoji Temple and the Futarasan Shrine)
The tour heads to Lake Chuzenji, a serene mountain lake formed by volcanic activity from Mount Nantai. You’ll arrive at Lake Chuzenji, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the lakeside and take in the peaceful surroundings. The lake, with Mount Nantai towering in the background, offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. This is a great spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the area before heading back to the city. (Please note: Due to weather conditions, during January and February, the visit to Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji will be replaced with a panoramic view of Rinnoji Temple and the Futarasan Shrine)
After enjoying the scenic beauty of Lake Chuzenji, you’ll board the bus for the return trip to Tokyo. This is your chance to rest and reflect on the day’s adventures. You’ll return to Ginza, concluding a full day of cultural exploration, stunning natural scenery, and unforgettable experiences.

I enjoyed the trip. Really glad I came to this one. Shame we couldn't stay longer. But I knew the travel time and social time was limited anyway. In future, I'm eager to come back on my own
Very historic and interesting place also beautiful
our tour guide was very funny and well knowledged . We spent a great day and we recommend booking this trip. We had osada san angeles, jorge
We had a great day with the guides Jorge, Angeles, and Osada San; besides the wonderful explanations, they give you many tips and teach you many things about general Japanese culture. I highly recommend the tour, the visits are incredible.
Excursion organized impeccably and simply wonderful places! I absolutely recommend this experience, especially for the added value of the guide. Jeorge was super knowledgeable, fun, and made the bus trip very pleasant and not at all tiring. It is hard to find guides who are so well-prepared and capable of engaging everyone. He made the entire day truly interactive and unforgettable! If you can, book with Jeorge, Osada, and Angeles.
Excellent, very professional narrative
A very entertaining excursion, Visiting beautiful sites and there is plenty of time to enjoy. The guides Jorge and Ángeles did a great job, as did the driver, Osada San.
Jorge and Sachiko were wonderful guides and very helpful. This was a fantastic way to experience Nikko.
Our guides Jorge and Sachiko told us information about Japan during the trip in an enjoyable and fun way. Both speak Spanish and English and answered all our questions. Strict with the times but they give plenty to see all the places. It is a pity that the weather did not cooperate with us on this excursion. The driver Ota, discreet and kind, gave me a lot of peace of mind during those impossible winding roads.
We have done an activity with Ota Sam Sachiko and with Jorge. The activity was very nice, but it would not have been the same with other guides. In our case, we had lunch included. And I can say that it has been one of the best things we have eaten here in Japan. We laughed a lot and had a very good time. Of course, if we had to repeat, we would love for it to be with them. Highly, highly recommended!!!
