Description

Take a New Orleans swamp tour and wetlands adventure! See the Cajuns of the Bayou living and surviving in harmony with the swamps. Here, the waterways are their highways. From the relaxed comfort of our covered New Orleans swamp tour boats, you will drift slowly past a 2,000 year old Indian burial mound, a Cajun cemetery and a fishing village! You may see the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the crown jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and gators are the kings of the swamp, and are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.

This is the tour

What an awesome experience. Captain Bobby was extremely knowledgeable and perfect guide. Lots of gators and great picture moments. Covered boat made the August heat bearable. Would recommend this tour to everyone, we had a great time! Would definitely go back

Lovely and educational nature respite

It was a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans. Although it was very hot out (August) we were cool enough thanks to the boat breeze. We saw many many alligators, which was fun. Captain Ernie was a wealth of knowledge of the region, swamp life, and alligators and certainly kept us entertained.

Fantastic experience!

This was my second swamp tour with this company in 2 years. Both times were good and actually different experiences with what we learned and what we saw. Our captain this time was Dewey. He promised to show us a lot of wildlife and he delivered. He was funny and patient. Definitely recommend this experience.

Best gator guide north of the gulf

Great opportunity to see alligators! Not crocodiles!!!! We had such a great guide, I just can’t remember his name, but he gave intricate details about the lifestyle of a gator. 3 or 4th generation gator hunter prior to guiding. In shade the whole time. Great trip!
