My wife and I had such a beautiful and memorable experience on the steamboat ride in New Orleans. From the moment we stepped aboard, everything felt special. The atmosphere, the views of the city, the music, and being out on the Mississippi River created the perfect setting for us to slow down and enjoy each other. It was one of those experiences that reminded us how important it is to make time for each other and create new memories together. The entire evening felt relaxing, romantic, and truly authentic to New Orleans. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend the steamboat experience to anyone visiting New Orleans, especially couples looking to make their trip extra special. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit! ❤️⚜️
You certainly understood the "assignment" as is often said. Sit back with that special person and treasure evey minute. The riverboat sets the scene for precious time together.
We were looking forward to this cruise as part of our family reunion, but it ended up being a very disappointing experience. It poured down rain the entire time, and the staff made an already difficult situation worse. One of our elderly family members was sitting at a table when an employee came over, took a chair away, and told her the chairs were only for people who purchased food. There were plenty of empty chairs in the back that no one was using. Instead, our elderly family members, some using walkers and canes, had to move to the outside and upper decks in the pouring rain. No one offered to wipe down the wet chairs or tables or assist our elderly relatives. When I went back inside to get napkins, the staff member I spoke with was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. The jazz music and narration were prerecorded, which was also disappointing. The only positive was that the food was good for those who purchased it. Overall, the lack of compassion, poor customer service, and treatment of our elderly family members overshadowed the experience. I would not recommend this cruise.
We’re terribly sorry to hear about your experience. Providing excellent service to all our customers is our top priority, and it’s disappointing to know we fell short. Our senior citizens are valued highly and to hear this comments means we have some staff that need to learn their service more. Although we cannot control the weather, we can control our service. Please know that the music is live, although you may not have seen it, and the narration is as well.
Chris was amazing!! We enjoyed our tour so much- Chris was very knowledgeable plus he was entertaining- thanks for making our incredible day in NoLa complete
Bryan, thank you for recognizing Chris, and we will thank him as well.
Not a buffet lunch, they serve you all the same plate of food while you sit in port. The non-alcoholic beverages is a plastic cup of water or a plastic cup of tea, no ice.
It is set up as a buffet but our staff trys to assist by serving from it, and extra portions of the items are welcomed as well.
Fantastic experience Full of information about the history of the area Very relaxing and worth the money
We strive to earn the "value" that you noted. Come visit our city again soon.
We booked the evening dinner Dixieland cruise. Very well organised from the moment we booked (regular updates via e-mail and messqges). Good food, really nice Dixieland band and relaxed cruise.
Very proud to see that we met your expectations and that are communication was clear and helpful.
It was such a nice break from the heat and crowded streets. They didn't have any jambalaya the day we visited, but the brand and rice are absolutely the best.
Your recommendation means the world to us. Thank you.
It was overly loud. Other than that it was fine. The loading time was very misleading as well. Gift shop should add some kid size captain hats, I would have purchased 2 if they had been available. Bar drinks were good and not too overly priced.
Thank you for your sugggestion on the kid size captain hats. We have carried them in the past so we will be sure the manager knows that the interest remains.
Easy booking and boarding process. Tasty authentic southern food. Narration during cruise was interesting but wish it had been longer. Not much to see on the riverbanks. Overall a good excursion.
Thank you Jan. The narration is shared for half the cruise and then the Jazz band entertains for the second half. We appreciate that you enjoyed the narration, thank you for mentioning it.
We had lots of fun. There was plenty of seating & we really enjoyed sitting & listening to the jazz band.
Thank you so much!
