Itinerary
Board a mini-coach outside your New Orleans hotel and start your 2.5-hour tour with a drive to the French Quarter, where you’ll find some of the city’s most classic architecture and interesting history. Drive past Creole townhouses and shotgun homes, a highly popular style of Southern homes in the early 1860s. Peek into courtyards and pass by small shops selling herbs, candles, oils and amulets used in ancient voodoo traditions and rituals.
A highlight of the French Quarter is Jackson Square, a stately park and US National Historic Landmark.
Pass through the neighborhood of Tremé and the lovely Garden District, home to one of the country's best-preserved collections of Southern mansions. Here you’ll see the longest bridge in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.
Next, take a walking tour one of the city’s most haunted cemeteries, St Louis Cemetery No. 3, featuring above-ground tombs from the 18th and 19th centuries. Learn about the theories behind this unusual burial custom as you stroll the grounds, and hear stories about famous figures from New Orleans' past. At the end of your 2.5-hour tour, you'll be driven back to your hotel.

Thank you to our guide Brian who was a wealth of fascinating insights about general New Orleans history as well as doubly fascinating insights about such topics as burials, the whys and wherefores of cemetery practices, and diverse architectural elements and eras as we rode through the respective neighborhoods. We came away with a deepened awareness and appreciation for what we were seeing. The tour bus was a clean and comfy way to get to everything we saw. We highly recommend this tour.

Derek was AMAZING during our 12pm New Orleans City and Cemetery bus tour!!! So funny and extremelyyy knowledgeable in every district and community we drove through and; as native Californians, my family and I really appreciated the opportunity to get a local’s opinion on food and fun things to do afterwards. Would highly recommend and we are very thankful for the experience Derek provided!!
The family and I enjoyed the bus tour. Derek, our driver, was by far the most knowledgeable, funny, and engaging tour guide we’ve ever encountered. As a history lover, I’ve read many books about New Orleans and Derek brought the city to life for me! Price was a Lorne steep but so is everything else.
