Had a lot of fun with our group and our guide Haley! Our group voted not to wait in the long line for Marys bridge, but Haley surprised us with a path to a “hidden” view of the bridge and the castle. 🤩 It was spectacular & no lines! The castle is one of a kind and the scenery is unmatched. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare for a lot of walking including uphill and downhill. We had a great time and thank you to Haley for handling the logistics of the trip as well as giving us keen insight into Bavaria & King Ludwig!!
Well organized and worth the money ! we had a great time riding trains to Füssen and visited the most famous castel. Our guide Johannes was very helpful and kept our group together. Definitely recommend it.
This small tour was well worth the price, we had two adults and one child (10 years), the trip on the train was a great way to experience Bavaria! The castle tour was well coordinated and we had a brief stop for lunch before visiting and we were able to see the lake before getting back on the bus and then train! Johan was a great guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining!
The tour was great! Our guide Haley was very knowledgeable & created a fun atmosphere for the 10 of us. The weather was very hot, but Haley made sure we had enough hydration breaks throughout the day which our group really appreciated. The castle is beautiful & the views breathtaking.
I joined Charlie’s Neuschwanstein tour not only as a visitor, but also as someone who is just starting out as a guide, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to learn from. From the very beginning, it was obvious how experienced he is. We ran into several unexpected situations throughout the day, and every single one of them was handled calmly, naturally, and without disrupting the flow of the tour. What impressed me the most was his storytelling. Charlie is very funny , has amazing energy, and keeps the whole group engaged the entire time. On top of that, his knowledge of Ludwig II, Bavaria, and the history surrounding Neuschwanstein was seriously impressive. You can tell that he really understands the subject, not just saying random facts. As someone who hopes to become a guide in the future, I left the tour feeling incredibly inspired and motivated. I genuinely learned a lot just by watching how Charlie guides a group. And as a guest, I simply had an amazing day. If you get the chance to join one of his tours, I can’t recommend it enough. Everything worked out in the end, and there were genuinely fun parts of the trip, but at each meetup point, our guide, Leon was vague about the schedule and late--to the point, that we considered leaving on our own several times, out of fear of missing various buses and trains. The guide was at times funny, sometimes kind of spicy, negative, or even mean and often seemed distracted, not finishing stories or just wandering off midway during his presentations. He seemed to connect with some people that weren't in our party and would disappear to spend time with them. All of this would be okay, if this weren't a fairly expensive trip. I guess it was a way to buy ourselves into the sold-out castle. There were some fleeting moments of interesting discussion, cultural insights or fun anecdotes. Overall, however, the impression was of a disorganized, even stressful trip, and I would not recommend it.

The day was pretty relaxed, allowing plenty of time to get there and back in the peak tourist season. Our guide Leon was full of energy and had plenty of information to impart on the train journeys. I’m glad I booked an arranged trip like this, it removed having to think about logistics and I learnt a lot more from Leon than I would have alone.
