Munich: Neuschwanstein Tour with Oberammergau or Alpine Coaster
Description
We are excited to announce The Alpine coaster which was previously only on our private tours, now available on our public tours! In the morning, choose between the thrill of the Alpine Coaster (a 20-minute scenic chairlift and mountain descent) OR Oberammergau, village full of surprises. Lunch is not included but will be at a local brewery where you can order food or a fresh beer. In the afternoon, hike or take the bus up to Mary’s Bridge followed by a guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle. We have access to guaranteed Skip-the-Line Entry, cost - Castle Ticket Prices: €26.00 per adult | €3.50 per child (17 & under). Drop off will be at Isartor S-Bahn station at 7.30pm ON A BUDGET? NO WORRIES - WE GOT YOU - VISITING Oberammergau is free, bring your own lunch & skip the castle tour and explore the surrounds of the castle.

We start and end our tour in Munich - close to the Isartor Station
We arrive back here at around 7.30pm. Please do not book any flights or trains before 9pm. Dinner reservations after 8pm. Bus my be delayed due to traffic.
We pass through some parts of this scenic road on the way to the castle first thing in the morning with majestic view of the Alps and the Bavarian countryside.
We drop our guests off here for a 60 minute break whilst the other group does the Alpine Coaster. Please note: You cannot do both. Either Obermmergau or the Alpine Coaster.
OR WE drop you off at the Alpine Coaster. Cost: 16,50€ per person (not included in tour price and payable to the guide in cash to speed up the process). Includes a 20-minute chairlift ascent and a thrilling coaster descent. One of the longest in Europe. PLEASE NOTE: You cannot do both Oberammergau and the Coaster. Either or!
Lunch with a view! Enjoy a traditional Bavarian meal in fully functional brewery, overlooking the Castle. We take your order while en route so your food is ready when you arrive—maximizing your time for the sights and the stories. Whether you choose a sit-down feast or if you are on a budget , take a short walk and enjoy a fresh bite from the local supermarket, the choice is entirely yours!
Our bus will park at the base of this castle. We will get to see it from the outside only - there is no option to tour this castle due to time contraints.
Your guide will get you to the bridge on time so you do not miss your castle entry time. Please be aware that in high season it may happen that the line is too long to get onto the actual bridge which, should we wait would mean we miss our castle entry time. This will be your guides discretion and does not happen to often, in which case we take you to our " Secret Spot" for a photo of the bridge and the castle so you do not miss out altogether.

We provide "Skip-the-Line" entry for your interior tour at a cost of 25,50€ per person (includes entry and all mandatory booking fees). Your guide will handle the logistics and payment on the bus, saving you from the long queues and ticketing hassles of visiting on your own.

An excellent, well organised day. Alpine coasters was amazing, lunch was very nice and the castle was spectacular. Tyler was very knowledgeable and looked after us very well. An unforgettable experience.

The guide, Tyler was a charming guide and he was caring by asking throughout the day if everything was okay or if we had any questions about anything. The place to eat was really nice. I also appreciated that Tyler talked about the history surrounding the castle. FYI the distance to walk to the castle was middle intense so be ready to be hot at the end! I would recommend this activity :)

Great trip well organised with Tyler our knowledgeable guide, the castle is like something straight from a fairytale and the views around the area are spectacular but the star of the show for our 11 year old daughter was by far the alpine coaster what a ride, a thrill seekers dream where breaking seems to be optional.

Dave is a fun guide with lots of knowledge about the area. From start to finish, it was well organized and we were kept on time for everything. The meal was nice too. Be warned! The coaster can leave marks! My shoulders didn't quite fit the seat so I ended up with bruising, so did another gal. Still worth the chair lift up for the views...be sure to look behind you as you go up...stunning! The castle was good, though you don't get much of a tour of it. Only a few rooms are shown, so I don't know if it's worth €26. I think the alternative would be exploring the village and swimming in the lake, so bring a suit and towel if the castle isn't your scene. I think that having to pay additional fees for everything is a bit frustrating, as it isn't always convenient to carry cash. I would have preferred to pay it all up front in my overall tour cost.

Our tour guide was funny, informative and very clear throughout the day, which made the overall experience enjoyable. One important point that should really be included in the tour description: bring cash. This was never mentioned beforehand, yet the castle guided tour was cash-only, as were many of the coffee and gift shops. It would have been very helpful to know this before setting off. Lunch was a pleasant surprise—good quality, reasonably priced and very good value for money. As for the state-run 30-minute guided tour inside the castle, I found it average at best. The castle itself is certainly impressive, but the interior tour felt rather rushed and underwhelming compared with the overall experience of visiting the area. Overall, an enjoyable and well-organised day, helped enormously by an excellent tour guide. Just remember to bring cash!
