The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals. You can drink natural fresh spring water coming out from MT Fuji. You can see very close view of Mt fuji from there is weather conditions is good

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is one of approximately 1,300 Asama shrines in Japan that enshrine the deity of volcanoes in general and Mount Fuji in particular. The shrine is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, designated in 2013. Asama shrines are dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime (“cherry blossom princess”), the goddess of Mt. Fuji and all volcanoes in Japanese mythology. The vast majority of Asama shrines are within sight of Mt. Fuji; where this is not the case because of distance or obstructions, miniature replicas of Mt. Fuji made with rocks from the mountain are erected within the shrine grounds.

Yamanakako, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes. Once known as the “Princess Odette”, the newly revamped sightseeing boat cruising Lake Yamanakako is now operating as “Swan Lake”. The entire boat is designed to resemble a swan, based on the idea of having “The most beautiful swan in Japan float across a premier spot at Mt. Fuji’s footsteps”

The Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave is located at the east entrance to the Aokigahara Jukai "sea of trees" forest, and is regarded as one of the tourist spots within the Fuji Five Lakes area that can be visited throughout the year. Over 1150 years ago, during year 6 of the Jogan era (864 a.d.), Nagaoyama, a flank volcano of Mt. Fuji erupted. The red hot lava flow (Aokigahara Maruo) descended between ancient parasitic volcanoes, creating this two-tunnel type cave. After being designated by the Ministry of Education as a natural monument in 1929, it was introduced to the world as a geological wonder. By the way, the tree-type lava bed is said to have the most spiracles in the world. Entrance ticket not included

Admission not included44 min

The Fuji Fugaku Wind Cave is surrounded by the abundant greenery of the Aokigahara Jukai forest. Once you enter the cave, it is pleasantly cool even in summer, with an average temperature of 3℃. Up until the beginning of the Showa era, it was used as a refrigerator to store the eggs of silkworms. The cave has also been designated as a Japanese natural monument. The lateral cave is 201m long and 8.7m high, and strangely enough, does not produce an audible echo. This is because its basaltic walls act to absorb the sound. In the course of a 15 minute sight-seeing tour, one can see lava shelves, rope-like lava, and ice pillars that do not melt even in summer.

Admission not included30 min

At Saiko Iyashi no Sato Neba, a thatched-roof village that has been revived over a long period of time, while fully admiring the beautiful scenery of the four seasons and the majestic appearance of Mt. Fuji. Please enjoy a rich time with a good taste.

Absolutely fantastic tour with Jamil!!!! We had the best day! World a heritage locations, Mt. Fuji, gardens and lunch.

I am so glad I booked this private tour. It took the guess work out of everything. Jamil was excellent at communicating. We were picked up in Tokyo and were on our way.

Ideal way to experience Mt. Fuji

This is an excellent way to see Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas. Rana, our guide, is very knowledgeable of the area and customized the experience for us. He encouraged us to get an early start which allowed us to avoid the usual crowds. That alone made for a peaceful day. The effort that Rana put into the planning gave us enough time at every stop, and he was very helpful taking pictures of us. Overall, Rana gave us a wonderful and memorable day.

Wonderful tour w/o Peak Visibility, Guide is 5 Stars

Jamil was an outstanding driver and guide, providing insight, flexibility, and expertise on the Mt Fuji tour. Also, when we shared that shopping was another goal for our overall visit to Japan, he suggested an outlet mall not far and we were able to add it to our itinerary. Yes, there was an additional trip fee but that was expected and worth it for us. Can’t say enough how well the visit went, even though Mt Fuji visibility was not great, clouds hid the peak. We highly recommend reserving this day trip, especially if Jamil is your guide. Our visit locations: 1) Arakurayama Shrine 2) Lake Kawaguchi 3) Herb Gardens & Souvenir Shop 4) Oshino Hakkai village Jamil gave us flexibility on prioritizing our trip to take advantage of what the visibility allowed, but the weather was actually wonderful, just no Mt Fuji peak visibility. Well worth it, and my family really enjoyed the tour. Note: we left Tokyo at 7:15am, best recommended time for best visibility chance is before 6:00am.

It’s okay

Communication was a challenge. Neither me nor the driver are able to contact each other due to lack of international calling. In addition, we were at the speed limit of 80kmh or below heading to our trip. Busses and trucks were passing us. However, coming back, we were zooming around 110 kmh. We’d got back half hour early. The tour only lasted about 9 hours instead as advertised including a late start due to communication. Language barrier was also an issue. Our driver wasn’t English fluent. Our driver was a good guy and so it is not all on him. Inspite of these negative experience, we still tipped him.

5/5 Stars – Absolutely Exceptional! Jamil is More Than a Driver, He’s a Master Guide!

Our day trip from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji was the absolute highlight of our vacation, and it is entirely thanks to Jamil. From the moment he picked us up, it was clear he was much more than just a driver. Grear Mr. Fuji Day Experience

Easy to book and fast response when our original driver with another company did not show up for our tour. Our driver Jamil was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and Japanese culture. He took us to different scenic views of Mt. Fugi and we saw everything we wanted to see despite the time constraints due to our situation with the other company. He was a life saver and his English was very good. Our family enjoyed our private tour with Jamil.

A very good experience.

Our private tour was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The driver was not only safe and professional, but also genuinely kind and accommodating. When the temperature dropped unexpectedly, he offered me the jacket off his own back, and drove half the group to a separate restaurant owing to the need for gluten free food - good gestures that truly showed how much he cares about his guests. Even though Mt. Fuji stayed hidden behind the clouds, the day was still filled with beauty. We enjoyed the calm waters of Lake Kawaguchiko, the clear springs of Oshino Hakkai, and the charm of the traditional village. The guide’s patience and warmth made the entire trip special.

Not a tour / only chauffeur

We booked same day and received confirmation, the never showed and got in touch with us when they opened. We rebooked for next day at 8am and they tried to take it earlier. We had a driver that took us to several sites including Mount Fuji, he was not a tour guide. A tour guide should know something about the locations and not just perform merely as a chauffeur. Also everything felt rushed. The sites were nice. The driver was polite, but thought he was on a racetrack. We had to pay for parking and for the entrance to the mountain which was not mentioned.

Mt. Fuji

We had a great tour of Mt. Fuji. Perfect weather and our tour guide, Hassan, was great. He let us explore at our own pace. It was the perfect experience for our group.
