Moraine Lake, Louise Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake all in day tour

Description
Explore four of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies—Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake—each offering its own breathtaking charm throughout the seasons. In summer, witness the turquoise brilliance of Moraine Lake, nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, and the world-famous Lake Louise, where glaciers meet mirror-like waters. Continue to Emerald Lake, known for its vivid color and tranquil forest setting, and Peyto Lake, a glacier-fed wonder shaped like a wolf’s head. During winter, when Moraine Lake is closed due to seasonal access, the journey highlights Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake, now transformed into a magical frozen landscape surrounded by snow-capped peaks and crisp alpine air. This scenic adventure offers the perfect blend of iconic viewpoints, pristine wilderness, and unforgettable photo opportunities year-round.

Cascade Mountain is a mountain located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park, adjacent to the town of Banff.
You will see a serene collection of lakes reflecting the surrounding mountains. They can enjoy picturesque views, go wildlife spotting, and capture stunning photographs.
Castle Mountain (Blackfoot: Miistukskoowa) is a mountain located within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, approximately halfway between Banff and Lake Louise.
The Lower Spiral Tunnel, located in Yoho National Park, is a marvel of engineering that allows trains to navigate steep mountain grades efficiently.
At Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, Canada, before it freezes, you can marvel at the lake's striking emerald-green waters, which glisten under the sunlight, surrounded by towering mountains and lush forests. The vibrant colors create a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for boat rides and peaceful walks along the lakeshore. As winter approaches and the lake freezes over, Emerald Lake transforms into a pristine, snow-covered wonderland. The frozen surface, surrounded by snow-laden trees and mountains, adds a fairytale-like charm, making it a captivating destination in any season.
Itinerary only visit during the closed period of Moraine Lake (October 14, 2025 - May 31, 2026), not in summer itinerary. Visitors can see a fascinating rock formation where the Kicking Horse River has carved out a natural arch over centuries. It's a unique geological feature surrounded by scenic views, offering a glimpse into the power of natural erosion processes.
Lunch duration Summer: 45mins Winter: 1hr
Travelers to Lake Louise will be mesmerized by the stunning turquoise lake, which, before it freezes, shimmers beneath the towering mountain peaks, reflecting the surrounding glaciers and forests in its crystal-clear waters. As the seasons change and the lake freezes over, the scene transforms into a winter wonderland, with the lake's surface becoming a smooth, icy expanse perfect for skating, all framed by snow-capped mountains.
This destination is only visited from 2025/June/1 to 2025/October/13. During other seasons, we will visit other spots instead.
Mt. Rundle could actually be considered a small mountain range as the mountain extends for over 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway eastward from Banff to Canmore with seven distinct peaks along the way. The third peak southeast of Banff is the highest at 9,675 feet (2,949 m).
Duration: Winter itinerary: 45 mins Summer itinerary: 30mins Visitors can witness a stunning turquoise-colored lake nestled amidst the Canadian Rockies, where, before the freeze, the vibrant hue of the water—caused by glacial rock flour suspended in the lake—shimmers against the surrounding peaks. As the lake begins to freeze, the turquoise waters gradually give way to a smooth, icy surface, creating a mesmerizing contrast with the snow-covered landscape. Surrounding viewpoints offer breathtaking vistas of this natural wonder in both its vibrant and frozen states, making it a must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers year-round.
Nestled by Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise offers luxurious accommodations with stunning views, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and relaxation seekers alike.

We had to be rescheduled to the Abraham lake tour due to the number of participants being too low but upon getting out there I realized it doesn't even matter which tour you go on because this place is so incredible. Every lake and every road have a view that cannot be found anywhere else. The guide knew all the best spots to go and how to stay safe in the deep of winter. He seemed to have a real passion for this place. Driving as far through the mountains as we did is a must for anyone in the area. You'll never see mountains the same again.
Thank you so much for your flexibility and for such a glowing review! While we always aim to run every scheduled tour, we are thrilled that the Abraham Lake experience exceeded your expectations. You’re right—there’s something truly transformative about that drive through the deep mountains. We’ll be sure to tell your guide that his passion and commitment to safety didn't go unnoticed. We hope those mountain views stay with you for a long time!
Pretty places to visit, very enjoyable trip. Chris the Tour Guide took excellent care of us. Will join the trip again in the future.
It’s my first time to visit Banff and Jasper. The tour guide, William, has done an excellent job. He was knowledgeable, caring and engaging. Highly recommended.
This tour was actually changed and we were moved to a different itinerary because there were initially just the two of us, I was doubtful at first but good thing we didn’t refund it and agreed to being transferred to the tour with Lake Minnewanka and Johnston Canyon. Our guide’s name was “D” and he did such a great job. He is so cheerful, energetic, very warm, patient and catering to taking our photos. We were part of a small group and had enough time to go around each tour. It was perfect. Highly recommended for a hassle free tour here in Banff
The views are definitely amazing. The 700m snow/Ice slope walking at Peto Lake was quite tiring, but totally worth it once made it up to the top. Peto Lake Scenery is gorgeous. Other lakes were spectacular. Sadly, we didn't get to swing by Moraine Lake.
Thank you so much for your review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the breathtaking views and made it up the snowy slope to Peyto Lake — the scenery there is absolutely worth the effort. We're also glad you found the other lakes spectacular. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable moments in the Rockies!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour today. It was our first visit to Canmore and we couldn't have picked a better tour company. William our tour guide was knowledgeable which we found impressive. What made this tour memorable was how he made sure to help us take unique pictures to cherish and reflect on this trip. He went above and beyond to make sure we captured moments to treasure for a very long time. He even helped other guests along the way...he was very pleasant. We will definitely book with him again when we visit again in the future. Thank you William for a memorable tour!

Tour leader and driver Chris was awesome. He is knowledgeable, friendly and wanted to ensure everyone was having the best time. Tour attractions did not disappoint and we saw a lot of wildlife. Chris saw a moose and made sure to let all of us know. Great trip thanks. I recommend this tour and especially our tour guide.
