Amazing beautiful day tour!! Brilliant guide Freidiriki and the drivers were so lovely:)
The guide Eva was exceptional, very friendly and extremely professional. The driver did an excellent drive. The tour was wonderful and Meteora dismisses words, it is an absolutely fantastic place!
This was a great trip with some caveats. The visit to the monasteries was truly amazing and we are so glad we went. The buses were clean, comfortable and had good air conditioning. The guides were so-so. For most of the trip they used a pre-recorded audio, which was ok because the English was good. The logistic could have been better. There was no hotel pickup, so we had to make our way to a pickup point. In addition, we were never sent an itinerary so we didn't know if there was going to be a break on the 4 and a half hour trip from Athens. We chose the option that did not include lunch thinking that we would simply buy our own lunch. We were only given a half an hour for lunch and there were no other restaurants near enough to go to so we were forced to eat the set lunch at the one the tour operator was using. It was NOT very good. Other than that, we really enjoyed the trip. It is long however, so be aware. At least 4 and a half hours in the bus both to and from.
Nice experience, out guide Freideriki was amazing
I had a lovely experience with this day trip to Meteora. Everything was well organized/optimized and I would recommend this company to anyone interested in viewing this spectacular site. Perhaps two things could have made that trip even better for us: 1) the information on pickup points could be made clearer as we walked to Omonia, when there was in fact a closer pick-up point to our hotel and 2) the audioguide in the bus was not always understandable. The text was read too quickly and the stops at the end of sentences not clearly marked, so a lot of infirmation was missed in the end. Everything was fine otherwise. Thank you.
This day tour was excellent value for money. Although it involved a 4-hour drive to the monastery, thankfully there were restrooms available every two hours. It wasn't a problem at all, even when accompanying elderly people. Most importantly, the sights here were truly beautiful and well worth joining this tour. Lunch was also very plentiful. Our guide, Eva, was very friendly and happy to take photos for us.
It was a long day, but the trip was with it. Eva was a great guide, and Yorgos was a great driver. The travel was smooth with no issues. From Eva I learned a lot, not just about the monasteries but also the mythology behind the whole region and local traditions that continue even now. If you want to see ancient and beautiful historical sites with a knowledgeable guide I'd definitely recommend this tour.
Simply professional and friendly too!
This was the best tour ever. The guide and the driver are both very professional. Our guide Freideriki is so friendly and professional of taking us through the different monasteries. We really enjoy our trip.
I had a really good fight. And if my friend is going to Greece, I thought it would be a good idea to give him this tour.
