This tour was an incredible experience. The guide(s) are fantastic and knowledgeable, the scenery is gorgeous, and the clear sky was perfect for nighttime photography, as promised. Would absolutely recommend as an unforgettable family trek.
Underwhelming. Pictures look better than real life. More of a play with filters, colors and iPhone camera exposure than the real thing. Our guide also spent 30min nonstop talking about the Navajo people struggles while we were standing inside the canyon. Could have been 5min tops and really took away any good vibes. He also didn’t know much about the stars and planets and his app was not working. Would not recommend. Not worth the money.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our tours are designed to offer more than beautiful scenery—they also provide an opportunity to learn about Navajo culture, history, and our connection to the land. We understand that every guest has different interests, and we're sorry the balance of cultural interpretation and sightseeing wasn't what you were hoping for. Regarding the stargazing portion of your tour, we apologize that the technology used by your guide was not working as expected. While our guides are trained to share information about the night sky, technical issues can occasionally occur, and we understand how that impacted your experience. We appreciate your honest feedback and will use it to help improve our tours. Thank you again for visiting, and we wish you safe travels.
My tour guide Wally was amazing. He even helped adjust my camera settings to achieve the most beautiful pictures ever.

He truly enjoys helping guests make the most of their visit, and we're glad his photography tips and camera adjustments helped you capture beautiful memories of Deer Canyon. We'll be sure to share your kind words with him—they'll mean a lot. We appreciate you choosing to tour with us and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
Amazing experience! Guides were fun and knowledgeable:) absolutely stunning views! I’m 55 and hubby is 63. No problem with this easy hike.
We had a really nice tour of a canyon with Wallace, who provided us with information about the land, his people the Navajo, and helped us take some awesome pictures of the canyon and stars. There were only 4 of us so it was nice and intimate tour. Would highly recommend this tour!
Louise was awesome. She led us through the canyon, describing the stars and most importantly helping my 75 year old friend navigate the stairs and deep sand. Without her help my friend would not have made it in or out of the Star gazing experience.
Great experience, directions weren't clear as I used the link emailed to me and was at the wrong location. Make sure you have your camera app ready and bring a selfie stick/tripod. Otherwise you loose time dealing with tech.
I definitely recommend this tour! Louisa was our guide and she did a phenomenal job. She taught us a lot about the start and their placements in the sky. She went as far as to share her own experiences which was very vulnerable and educational. Definitely an experience i’ll cherish forever!! 💝
This was a great experience. Wally was fun and very knowledgeable of our experience. He was patience with some from our group that were having issues and had several questions.
This was amazing! Learning about how the Navajo use the night sky to tell them when to plant and when to harvest, the names they have for the stars….so much history! Loved every minute
