Important notice- Skyrail Cableway is closed 20 July to 18 August -Book train only Departing from Port Douglas or Palm Cove (not Cairns), enjoy a small-group Kuranda day tour, limited to 20 guests for a personal and engaging experience. Travel aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway, winding through lush rainforest to reach Kuranda. We meet you in Kuranda and transfer you to the village, where your guide will show you around its famous markets and vibrant arts scene. After two hours of exploring, we pick you up in Kuranda and help you board the award-winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for breathtaking views. End the day with a stop in Palm Cove for a relaxing drink (own expense) before returning to Port Douglas by 5:30–6:30 pm.

We pick up from all hotels in Port Douglas and Palm Cove, we travel to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an amazing Multi award winning experience over World Heritage Rainforest. Our driver guide meets you in the Kuranda village where you have free time to enjoy the markets, galleries, Butterfly Sanctuary, Koala gardens and have lunch at one of the many eateries. You then return in the bus or you can upgrade to add the Kuranda Scenic Train. We then stop at Palm Cove for half an hour where you can have a cocktail or drink (at own expense) over looking the beautiful beach, we then return back to your hotel in Port Douglas.

A great day out.Chris B was an excellent guide.
This was a wonderful tour, the host Chris was very knowledgeable, entertaining and well organised. The train trip and the sky cable were fantastic experiences and well worth it with amazing views of the stunning rain forest. I would recommend this tour to all visitors to Cairns and Port Douglas.
Day trip picked up at our accommodation and caught train up and cable car return. Kuranda had a great variety of shops, markets and food. Very spectacular and recommended the experience to all ages. Dropped back at our accommodation ( Down Under Coaches and Bruce was a great driver with plenty of information)

Tour was great from start to finish. Glen our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Gondola and train rides were excellent and well worth it. Would highly recommend.

This was one of the most wonderful, beautiful tours we have ever done anywhere in our travels around the world. We took the Scenic Railway from Cairns & were overwhelmed at times with the scenery as it was simply stunning. The train stopped at the beautiful Baron Falls where we got to get out & take photos of the spectacular beauty of the falls which were cascading over the banks. Then onto Kuranda where the train stops before going back to Cairns. We enjoyed walking, shopping & dining while there, before returning via the Skyrail,,, OMG the Skyrail was amazing & the views were surreal. The staff were all very friendly, helpful & accommodating to everyone. This is a MUST DO if you have the chance as it is truly a wonderful way to spend the day.

We enjoyed the Train and Skyrail very much. Unfortunately our guide/ driver was very pushy and full on all day. The "disco lights" in bus at end of trip were very upsetting for one of our group who has issues and gave her a severe migraine. He should has asked group if it was OK it turn this on.

A big thank you to Peter our bus driver and day organiser for a really informative and knowledgeable dialogue along the way and during the day. He actually made the day for us. It was a pity that the audio on the skyrail wasn't working on anyone's phone. I was looking forward to the information therein.
