Itinerary
Our first stop for the day is at Mossman Gorge, the base of the Daintree National Park for a guided interpretive walk with your guide, capturing the best time of day for the perfect photo opportunity and the possibility of spotting a Boyd's Forest Dragon or a platypus.
Our next stop is the Daintree River via the Mossman Township where sugar cane and the sugar mill features in the landscape. Arriving at the Daintree River we take a Wildlife Cruise. Here you can sit back, soak up the tranquility and natural beauty, listen to the songbirds and seek the elusive Estuarine Crocodile.
Leaving the Daintree River we drive north through the scenic Daintree National Park stopping at Alexandra Lookout for sweeping views extending from The mouth of the Daintree River and out to the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef. Morning tea is served with fresh muffins, biscuits, plunged coffee and Daintree Tea.
Next, we explore legendary Cape Tribulation beach. Guests can wander this remote white coral sand beach where two world heritage National Parks famously meet.
We enjoy lunch at a beautiful rainforest restaurant where our meals are all individually prepared and served, followed by a tropical fruit platter. After lunch, you can enjoy a swim in the refreshing crystal-clear waters of our private rainforest creek (subject to weather and water safety conditions).
Our next stop is Noah Valley World Heritage Listed private property, where we follow lunch with an interpretive guided walk as a small group with your experienced guide and stop to view The Gateway to Paradise which showcases one of the rarest and most primitive of the flowering plants in existence. The interpretive walk may be taken before or after lunch depending on conditions and departure times.
Our last stop of the day is at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. A highly recommended optional extra, you can sample ice cream made from exotic tropical fruits grown in right here in the orchard.
Daintree River Cable Ferry Crossing for our journey home. Sit back and relax in the vehicle while your guide returns you to your accommodation after a full day touring the Daintree National Park.

Pickup Locations & Times
Tony's Tropical Tours offer two departure times from Port Douglas only. The 7.15am departure from Port Douglas and the 8.15am departure from Port Douglas. Both departure times offer the same itinerary. A pick up time will be confirmed when the booking is made and accepted. If you prefer a certain departure time, contact us to see if it is available. We do not provide transfers to and from Cairns or the Northern Beaches of Cairns, Thala Beach Nature Reserve or Silky Oaks Lodge. Guests must make their own way to Port Douglas and allow sufficient time for travel to meeting point. Once your booking is completed please check your messages for pickup time and details and other information which will assist in making your day more enjoyable.

We spent a day in the Daintree withTony's Tropical Tours. Our guide, Adam, was friendly and wealth of information about the area. Highlight of the day included seeing crocodiles on the Daintree River, seeing a cassowary crossing the road in front of our van, and walking through the rainforest learning about the plants that grow there. We also enjoyed the fact that it was a smaller tour--just a van. Lunch was fantastic as well. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting the area.

Did the small-group Daintree Rainforest tour (just 10 of us) from Port Douglas and our guide Tony was amazing! Super funny, super knowledgeable, and he made sure everyone in the group had a great time. He also took photos for us along the way — honestly better than our own vacation pics lol. The other 6 people in our group were lovely too, made the whole day even better. If any friends come to Port Douglas, I'm 100% sending them Tony's way. 5 stars!

Ash was the perfect guide for our tour. He was knowledgeable and patient with our small international group, making sure those with English as 2nd or 3rd language were included. We had a fabulous visit to crocodiles, coastline and cassowary- with chicks. Topped off with excellent ice cream, brilliant day out!

Rob our guide for the day picked us up from the Lizard motel. Bang on time. A full on day but not rushed. What makes this tour value for money albeit not cheap is the sheer amount Rob shows you. I won’t spoil it but it’s worth the extra and it’s unlikely to be done twice. Crocodile river trip as well as the gorge. The rainforest was beautiful. We had a very agreeable lunch, steak or fish, comfortable bus. We even got to see a Cassowary on the way back which was bonus. Rob was excellent and deserves a mention.
