Our guide to Mt Wellington was quite the fun yapper, sharing abit of information on Hobart's history. Was a super windy day up there, definitely a memorable experience
Thank you so much for joining our Mt Wellington tour and for sharing your experience. We hope to welcome you back for more Tasmanian exploring soon.
Our driver was very good in that his commentary was both informative and entertaining. We had enough stops for comfort breaks and to buy food and each chosen spot provided quality food (especially the "dairy " - best ice cream I've ever tasted). Cradle Mountain was spectacular and we even got a fine, clear day and we were able to see the whole mountain which, apparently doesn't always happen. All in all, a bloody good day.
Thank you for the fantastic review. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the commentary, the well‑timed stops, and of course that amazing ice cream. Getting a clear view of Cradle Mountain is a real treat, so we’re glad the weather delivered. Sounds like a truly great day out.
A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour! What an amazing view of greater Hobart and the Derwent River system from atop Mt Wellington. A once in a life time experience was had seeing a platypus swimming in the waterway adjacent Cascade Brewery on the return leg. The 2nd half of the tour was visiting MONA. An unforgettable and unique contemporary art setting and experience - escapism at its best! Thank you to our talented tour guide who was super interesting and knowledgeable.
Thank you for such a vibrant and thoughtful review. It’s wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the day . We’re delighted that our wonderful guide’s knowledge and engaging style helped bring each part of the tour to life.
Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. Very windy, cold and no view. Driver’s microphone didn’t work half the time and couldn’t hear what he was saying. He took us to other spots with a view.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re proud to operate the only fully escorted and guided tour from Hobart to Mt Wellington on a regular schedule, and we appreciate your feedback. Mt Wellington’s weather is famously unpredictable—it can be calm and pleasant in the city yet very different at the summit due to the elevation and surrounding environment. This ever-changing climate is part of the excitement and uniqueness of the tour, though we understand it can sometimes limit the views. We sincerely apologise for the issue with the driver’s microphone system. Commentary is a key and important element of the experience, and we will follow this up urgently to ensure it does not affect future tours. We’re glad the driver was able to take you to other scenic spots, and we hope you’ll join us again to experience Mt Wellington in clearer conditions.
Mount Wellington is always a great - although I was completely amazed how cold & windy it was for late November! We had clear skies, My only advice? Rug up, as you never know up there. Hands & face felt icy cold. 💗
Thank you for sharing your experience at Mount Wellington! The clear skies are always a treat, but you’re right—the weather can be surprisingly cold and windy even in late November. Great advice to rug up, and we’re glad you enjoyed our tour
The temperature on the bus was not very well regulated. The bus driver was unable to change it so it was so hot.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the bus temperature wasn’t comfortable and that it couldn’t be adjusted during your trip. We’ll make sure this concern is passed along and ensure our driver understands how to regulate the heat for future tours so everyone has a more pleasant experience.

It was ok but just a lot of traveling even though there were plenty of lookouts on the way up. Fortunately, the weather was favourable to enjoy the views.
