Great day trip to Bruny, love that we got to do some walking in nature as well as take in the Bruny sights! I must admit Mark, our guide was the one that made it awesome. He connected with every person on the bus and passed on his extensive knowledge. He made sure we had enough time at each stop and may have added in an extra couple of stops for photo opportunities and some more stories. I would recommend this tour to anyone. The only downfall was for a tall person the bus could have been a little bigger (but that’s an issue on any mini bus 🫣).
The experience and those scenic views were absolutely amazing but nothing really out of extraordinary. It was a fun tour nevertheless. We just spend the whole day just driving around. The lookout and light house was okay.
We had a fantastic trip to Bruny Island with Mark as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome. The highlight for me was seeing how much my 7yo son enjoyed the tour, he happily followed Mark around, eager to explore and learn about everything along the way. It was wonderful to see him so engaged. Thank you Mark for making our Bruny Island trip such a memorable trip.
Our guide, Andrew, was a local who provided excellent commentary throughout the day, as well as taking us to secret spots across the island. This is a massively diverse tour with fabulous views, yummy food and great interaction with the local environment. I think I counted about 10+ stops along the journey, so while the day is long (10 hours), you're never long in the bus, and you are always entertained. As a solo traveller, I found it fantastic.
My 3 friends and I were all in agreement - we have never had a tour guide as fantastic as Mark. His sense of humour shone through the day and set the tone that our group of 16 would be connected throughout the day. Mark was knowledgeable and worked so hard, yet with such ease, to include us all by name as he narrated our adventure around the spectacular Bruny Island. My three friends and I would highly recommend this day.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It's wonderful to hear that you and your friends had such a memorable day on Bruny Island. Would love to have you back again at Tassie!
Bruny island is a fabulous place to visit, especially having someone else doing all the driving. My absolute favourite experience was the bushwalk. But the whole day was great. Would highly recommend.
Thanks for your review. We're pleased you enjoyed exploring Bruny Island and that the bushwalk was a highlight for you. Hope to welcome you back to Tassie in the future.
Fantastic day exploring Bruny! Our driver Mark was a delightful chap and very knowledgeable. (Not to mention full of wit!). Loved both sides of the island but particularly the area on South Bruny near the lighthouse. You’d swear you were in Iceland! Totally recommended to do this tour!
Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed exploring Bruny Island. Would love to have you back again at Tassie.
It was amazing even though was raining but didn't stop us from enjoying and admiring the place. The tour guy Paskal is amazing friendly and very knowledgeable easy to get in all the information. We get to see white Walabi which made the tour extra special
Thanks for joining us. We're glad the weather didn't stop you from enjoying Bruny Island. Would love to have you back at Tassie.
“I do this job for the love of it”. This is what Grey, our tour guide said, when we asked him how many days in a week he work. It is our first time in Tasmania, and my AI engine recommended Tassie Tour. We were lucky to have Grey as our tour guide, he is cheerful, professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly he truly loves the land. We really enjoyed the day and we learnt a lot about Bruny Island from the plants to the history. We were picked up by a Tassie Tour mini-bus, we took a short peaceful ferry across to the island from Hobart. We started the tour by having oysters as brunch - the best oysters we ever had, with a very affordable price. Then we stopped by a local chocolate shop for some lovely sweets. The two main courses of the day were a short rain forest walk and the iconic Bruny Island Lighthouse. Funny enough, the lighthouse was built by Grey’s great great grandfather! We finished the tour with visiting a local honey shop where we brought 500+ manuka honey and other honey products. My husband enjoyed some unique honey ice cream while I did my shopping. All in all, it was a super enjoyable and fun day. We were especially impressed by the passion and knowledge of Grey. We recommend Tassie Tour and Bruny Island, this tour is for all ages. By the way, you will see some Tasmania Wallaby along the way and they are very cute!
Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed review! It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed the mix of nature, local produce, history, and wildlife, and that Gray's passion for Bruny Island helped make the day so memorable. We are glad you joined us and hope to see you again soon.
Even though it was raining today, the rainforest tour brought me such a wonderful and magical experience. Our guide Grey was incredibly warm and attentive, and he shared lots of interesting historical stories about Bruny Island before we got on the island. The honey produced on the island is absolutely delicious, and I would love to recommend this tour from the bottom of my heart!
Thanks for sharing your experience. We're glad you enjoyed Bruny Island, even in the rain, and that Gray's stories and local knowledge helped make the day memorable. Hope to welcome you back to Tassie in the future.
