This game center is popular among retro game enthusiasts and offers a wide selection of arcade games from the 1980s and 90s. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy classic games in the Ikebukuro area. Visitors can experience nostalgic titles like Street Fighter II, shooting games, and racing games.
This monument, shaped like a treble clef, symbolizes the culture and dignity of Toshima City. It was erected to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Toshima City, with the lyrics of the citizens' song "Toshima Mirai e" engraved on the lower part of the front. On the back, the lyrics and sheet music of "Kibou no Hana" are inscribed, representing the community's progress and hopes for the future. This monument, built with the hope that Toshima City would become a place of culture and dignity, has become a beloved symbol of the area. It also appears in the anime "Durarara!!".
Animate Ikebukuro Main Store has been selected as one of the "88 Anime Pilgrimage Sites in Japan." It is the world's largest anime shop. We will pass by this area again on our way back, so if you'd like to do some shopping, we can guide you then.
This is the largest purikura (print club) specialty store in the area, offering a wide selection of the latest purikura machines. It's popular among young people and tourists, and is well-known as a spot for friends and couples to visit together. The store's bright interior is decorated according to various themes, creating a fun and enjoyable space for taking photos.
This café is known for its warm atmosphere and authentic maid experience. In a cozy and welcoming space, the maids greet you with a smile and serve special drinks and food items. It's a charming spot that can be enjoyed by anime and manga fans, as well as first-time visitors. Please note that if the café is fully booked, we may visit a different maid café.
Gashapon Department Store Ikebukuro Main Store is one of the world's largest Gashapon specialty shops, featuring around 3,000 Gashapon machines. It offers a unique experience for visitors with Bandai's latest products and exclusive items. The store also has a unique "Gasha-dori Spot," where customers can take photos with their purchased Gashapon in a special area.
This is a must-visit shop for Pokémon fans. The store features the latest Pokémon merchandise and exclusive items, making it extremely popular with tourists from around the world. The spacious interior offers a wide range of products, including plush toys, stationery, clothing, and more.

My guide was so amazing and nice. His name was Hiroki Ito. We had a really good time. He gave us spending coins during the arcade. He treated us to food at the maid cafe. He had great conversation. A genuine nice person. Answered all of our annoying questions. We booked many tours during this trip. He was the most fun and professional.

The tour was very relaxing and flexible. Hiroki was very knowledgeable and catered the tour to our interests! The maid cafe was also cute and comfortable enough for first timers.
I really enjoyed my day with Hiroki. He is a young man and had the challenge of showing around a granny on this trip. He was very patient with my insistence on Pokemon and K pop shopping. To top it off I even got to see a k pop group performing in the Sunshine city shopping mall which must have tried his patients he is an avid rock and guitar fan. I also got to try a Maid cafe for lunch which I was very unsure about and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The tour was really good. My favorite part was playing the coop arcade games. We played games similar to DoDonPachi and guitar hero. I had a blast playing. Ohh and that game of Mario cart got really heated in a good way lol. Really close game. Im a big foodie and one piece fan and they were very considerate in giving food recommendations and stopping by a one piece themed store. When the tour was over they dropped me off at a ramen shop and helped me order my food. Highly recommend for first timers to Ikebukuro!

I had an amazing time experiencing Japanese culture! The arcade was especially lively, and I was blown away by how insanely skilled some of the players were. Every attraction kept me completely immersed—I lost track of time. And the Slowpoke plushie? Absolutely perfect!
