Superheated rock in the earth’s mantle pushed the crust upward with such force that it cracked. A 240,000 square mile chunk of it was thrust upward. That’s the Colorado Plateau we’re standing on today. All of this happened in the blink of an eye — well, geologically speaking. To us, the transformation was agonizingly slow, taking hundreds of thousands of years. Note: The tour is over 1.5 miles long, with more than 10 audio stories, and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. New, Lifetime access, no expiry. Use it anytime, on any trip, as many times as you want.
Page is one of the youngest towns in America, dating back to only 1957. But why build a town out here at all? Well, the whole thing exists because of Glen Canyon Dam.
This easy trail is also a fabulous spot for cyclists! However you want to experience it, these are some of the best sights in Page, hands down.
This is the trailhead for Hanging Gardens Trail, offering a welcome oasis from the harsh desert. This easy, 1.2-mile out and back trail which ends with a surprising burst of greenery.
We’ve arrived at the Carl Hayden Visitor Center. But, more importantly, this is your chance to get an up-close look at the Glen Canyon Dam! Feel free to hop out of your car and walk along the dam for some incredible views of the river far below
This stunning spot offers a simply unbeatable vista of Lake Powell and the surrounding landscape. On the near side of the lake you’ll also spot the Wahweap Marina, where folks store their boats between trips out onto the lake.
It’s called Waterhole Canyon. Erosion from water and wind has carved the canyon walls into a wild, curving pattern you simply have to see in person.
You might not think “bright colors” when you think of a canyon, but that’s just what you’ll get in Antelope Canyon. This wild, twisting slot canyon is Instagram-famous for a reason. The wind-carved sandstone walls look like something out of a dream, and the sunlight filtering down from above casts the whole thing in a fabulous red glow.

You can’t pass off a guided tour as an entrance to the site, among other things only in English (not even Spanish I don’t say Italian) I know so much about scam! The only thing you pay for at the horsebendshoe is parking. The site is worth a visit very nice, but the tour with audio guide is a scam
Luigi, Thanks for your feedback. I want to clarify that this is a self-guided audio tour only, not a parking pass or entrance ticket, as clearly stated in my listing. I can see you contacted us twice for the password, which I provided, so I’m not sure why there was confusion. Please feel free to request a refund, and I’ll be happy to process it.
I recommend you book a tour with one of the local groups in order to have a real quiet experience of the area.
Rui, thank you for sharing your thoughts. While our self-guided tour offers the flexibility to explore at your own pace with stories that bring the landscape to life, I understand some travelers may prefer a more traditional guided experience. If you're planning to explore more of Arizona, check out my Ultimate Arizona Self-Guided Driving and Walking Tour Bundle — it features must-see spots like Grand Canyon National Park, Sedona, Petrified Forest National Park, and more!
The information was ok but not worth the price . It was a definite must visit but too much for the tour app. You could easily just find the information online if that was something you wanted to know.
I’m glad you enjoyed my Horseshoe Bend Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour. My tour is crafted with the help of local guides to give you insights and stories you might not find online. The app includes features like offline access and automatic audio triggers to make exploring easy and convenient. If you’re up for more adventures, check out my 100+ self-guided tours with the same flexibility. Happy travels!
Viator Tickets are not necessary to go to Horse shoe bend. You only need to pay for a $10 parking permit. This was just an audio tour but was presented as a self guided tour that you need to buy.. You do not have to buy anything at all from this company to go to horse shoe bend. Don't be fooled by this. The audio tour amounted to a few sentences you could google.
Kevin, I provide only a self-guided audio tour, not a parking permit, and my listing clearly states that. Right after purchase, you should have received an email with instructions. The app and tour must be downloaded beforehand, as the app works offline once downloaded. The product is valid for a year, so there's no need to worry if your travel plans change. You might have been looking for something else, so if you booked by mistake, please email me to request a refund.
If you are visiting Page to see the Antelope Canyon, this is a worthy and convenient stop. The audio guide provides basic information (would have liked more), the parking lot is a long walk to the Bend, a consideration for the elderly or those with limited mobility. Fortunately, there are two sheltered rest stops on the path.
I am so glad to hear you enjoyed the Horseshoe Bend tour, George! It sounds like you're ready to dive deeper into Arizona's stunning landscapes. If you're up for more adventures, our Ultimate Arizona Self-Guided Driving and Walking Tour Bundle might be perfect for you. It includes not only the Grand Canyon and Sedona but also the Hoover Dam, Petrified Forest, Saguaro National Park, and Mt Lemmon – plus a bonus tour in Page. You can find all these gems where you booked your last tour. It's a great way to keep exploring at your own pace!
This was a perfectly good waste of $10. Horseshoe Bend is a very small site and the amount of information on the audio tour was equivalent to about 2 paragraphs of a google search. I would NOT recommend spending money on this.
I apologize that the Horseshoe Bend Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour did not meet your expectations. As an additional option, we provide a Driving Audio Tour of the area, which may offer a unique viewpoint and more information for your exploration. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into account to enhance our services.
Although the app work perfectly, there isn’t a lot of information about the history or geology of the Horseshoe Bend. Just a brief and non-relevant info on each point. To be fair just 2 points had somehow interesting information about the Bend. I would not recommend spending the money on this audio tour.
Thank you for your feedback! We apologize if you found the information provided to be limited. We recommend checking the "Learn More" section for comprehensive details about the history and geology. Additionally, we are offering a bonus page driving tour for added value. We appreciate your input and hope to serve you better in the future.
The narrative was interesting and informative. The app was easy to install. The story moved along the pathway with us
Thank you so much! I’m thrilled to hear that you found my tour of Horseshoe Bend so interesting. If you plan to travel more, you may like my Action+ Tour Bundle (it has all of my self-guided tours, over 100). Thanks again!
Was pleasant and informative. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting a new place. It follows your location which is helpful, or you can listen to the chapters as you want.
Thanks Simrit! I’m thrilled that you enjoyed my Horseshoe Bend tour. You can also continue to listen to the stories after you’ve left — it’s valid for a lifetime. I have more tours for all sorts of places across the country — hope you check them out on future vacations!
