Cycling Boating and Eating is a must

I had seen you tube video’s of the different aspects where included were bike rides, cooking and coconut boat rides and this incorporated it all. A very friendly guide who was great with information along the way (even though it was 39 degrees) . Nice to roll through the vegetable gardens , through a market to collect all our ingredients and onto the river where we jumped into the coconut boat for a spin “ literally”. $100k per person for the additional spin, also have a go at throwing the fishing net. A gentle float through the banana forest and onto the cooking . Here we made the pancakes with pork and shrimp, spring rolls, banana flower salad and fresh lychee and dragon fruit. Instead of being dropped back to our point of pickup, we chose the centre of town to have 1000 cold drinks after the ride. A great experience that all can enjoy

A must do, cycling, market, cooking, boat trip all with the wonderful Trang and her family!

This was such a fun, joy filled experience with Trang and her family! Loved every minute of it. Cycling through the rice paddies, buying our ingredients in the market, hysterical basket boat trip with Trang’s mom. All topped off with an amazing cooking class and lunch on the water courtesy of Trang and her hubby. Loved it! A must do!

This is a lovely way to...

This is a lovely way to get to see Hoi An. The guide picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the market to pick up ingredients for the cooking class. Along the way you’ll pass rice fields and water buffalo and some very scenic places. Then, you head over to the river for a boat ride through the coconut grove. There’s a lot of activity throughout the river and you’ll get to watch the boat guides show off their tricks. You’ll have the opportunity to get into a different boat for some spinning if you’re up for it. You’ll also have the option to cast a fishing net. After the boat ride, you head back to your outdoor kitchen to cook lunch. The food was simple to make and I’m looking forward to cooking for friends when I get back home. After eating, you head back to your hotel. The whole experience is seamless and the guide takes care of everything. Bring your appetite!

Hoi An highlight

What an incredible personable tour. From hotel pick to hotel drop off we were treated with such kindness and respect. There was humour, teasing and lots of patient teaching. I would recommend this to anyone who craves an authentic experience with a beautiful family.

HoiAn bicycle and cooking class suitable for Coeliacs

Miss Vy market cooking class and countryside bicycle was truly fantastic. We started out on bikes riding thru the old town, wholesale food market, through rice fields to the organic farms where they grow all the herbs and vegetables. We met a farmer, tilled the soil with the tools, planted new seedlings and watered using the traditional over the shoulder watering cans. The riding was easy, flat and roads/paths good to ride on. We finished at the well where the locals get their fresh water.. the ride was about 2 hours with stops along the way. Then back to the cooking school where we made dumplings and watched the making of traditional rice noodles. We then ate the dumpling which were so good! Upstairs to the cooking class. We had our own cooktops. Miss Moon our teacher was excellent. We made rice paper rolls, crispy Vietnamese pancakes and very special Cao Lau noodles. My husband is coeliac and this was no problem at all. They provided GF soya sauce and modified ever so slightly some of the ingredients to accommodate. We finished with lemongrass ice cream. This was one of the most favorite things we did in HoiAn. Would highly recommend

Biking was nonexistent

The boat tour was fun. The cooking class was ok but everything was very oily and kept getting interrupted with phone calls and then I felt rushed. The bicycle portion never happened - I got dropped off at my hotel and realized this was missing. Dang - I feel like I got gyped.

Great morning activity with delicious food

Bloody hot on the bicycle but great fun cycling on the streets of Hoi An (though they're nowhere near as crazy as Hanoi!) Great cooking class with an enormous lunch, make sure you don't eat breakfast! Also enjoyed the coconut boat ride.

Homecooking by the river

Nice bicycle ride through hoi an and rice fields. The visit to the market with the guide was remarkable she took the time to show us different veggys and fishes and meat... the cooking class was a really good experience ! We got to prep the whole meal and we are ready to cook it at home as well. Excellent experience !

Absolutely delicious food!! 10/10

For a very very cheap price we ate SO much fresh, beautiful food - from spring rolls to Vietnamese pancake to beef pho and BBQ pork with lemongrass!! We collected all the food fresh from the market. Trang is so sweet and made sure we left the class bellies full to the brim!

Hoi An cooking experience

Our guide/cooking instructor, Tran, met us at our hotel on time with bicycles for us, We stopped at a local market to buy ingredients for our lunch, then we cycled through some lovely rice fields on our way to the river. The basket boat ride was entertaining if a bit touristy. We ate the lunch we helped cook while sitting by the river. Very pleasant way to spend a morning. The only thing that would have made it better was for her to give us copies of recipes or maybe a list of ingredients so we could replicate it at home.
